Sir Charles Christian Nicholson, 3rd Baronet (born 15 December 1941) is a British baronet. [1]

The elder son of Sir John Norris Nicholson, 2nd Baronet, and Vittoria Vivien née Trewhella, he has two sisters and one brother, James Nicholson (born 1947), who is heir presumptive to the baronetcy.

Sir Charles was educated at Ampleforth College before going up to Magdalen College, Oxford.

In 1975 he married Martha née Don, widow of Niall Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, and has one step son and one step daughter. [2]

He had previously represented Cornwall West in House of Commons as a Liberal and St Ives as a Liberal Unionist. On his death the titles passed to his nephew, the third Baron, the son of the Hon. Sir Arthur James Dudley Stuart St Aubyn (1867–1897), second son of the first Baron. The third baron was succeeded in 1978 by his eldest son, the fourth baron, who had served with the Royal Navy at Dunkirk and in a minesweeper in Arctic Convoys during World War II and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (DSC). As of 2014, the titles are held by the fourth Baron's nephew, the fifth Baron, who succeeded in 2013.

The Rasch Baronetcy, of Woodhill in Danbury in the County of Essex, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 29 August 1903 for Frederic Carne Rasch, Conservative Member of Parliament for South East Essex and Chelmsford. He was succeeded in the baronetcy by his eldest son, also named Frederic but known as 'Carne', as the second Baronet. He was a Colonel in the Army. On Sir 'Carne' Rasch's death the title passed to his nephew, Richard Guy Carne Rasch, the third Baronet. Stubbington House School was founded in 1841 as a boys' preparatory school, originally located in the Hampshire village of Stubbington, around 1 mile (1.6 km) from the Solent. Stubbington House School was known by the sobriquet "the cradle of the Navy". The school was relocated to Ascot in 1962, merging with Earleywood School, and it closed in 1997.
