Charles Cottier (born 27 October 1992 [1] ) is an Australian actor, perhaps best known for portraying Dexter Walker on the Australian soap opera Home and Away .
Cottier was born in Brisbane, Australia, completed primary school at Kenmore South State School and secondary school at Brisbane Boys' College. He always wanted to be an actor and loved performing in home videos from a young age. He grew up in a close knit family of three boys (one older and one younger brother). Cottier started taking acting classes at the age of twelve at The Australian Acting Academy [2] and graduated from secondary school in 2009, where he was drama captain.
Cottier enjoys playing music, something that runs in his family; his dad plays guitar, brothers play saxophone and piano. Cottier himself has played drums since aged nine and was part of indie rock bands in Brisbane, including We Were Arks, NALI and a three piece band called Mods and Cons.
Cottier auditioned for the role of Dexter Walker in Home and Away on the Gold Coast, and got a call back to come to Sydney the next day. Then the following day he found out he got the role. Cottier is the second person to play Dexter as the role was previously played by Tom Green. In 2011, Cottier was nominated for a Logie Award for Most Popular New Male Talent. [3] Cottier left Home and Away in 2013. He joined the cast of Please Like Me in February 2014. [4] In 2015, he appeared in the third series of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries with former Home and Away star, Ella Scott Lynch, who played Hayley Smith in 2005.
In 2016, Cottier featured in the Channel Seven series Wanted with Rebecca Gibney and former Home and Away co-star Stephen Peacocke. [5] Cottier and Peacocke were reunited in the feature film Cooped Up , in which Cottier plays the lead, Jake. [6]

Raymond Francis Meagher is an Australian actor, who has appeared in Australian film and television since the mid-1970s. He is notable as the longest continuing performer in an Australian television role, portraying Alf Stewart on Home and Away, having played the role since the first episode in 1988. Meagher won a Gold Logie Award for his role in Home and Away in 2010 and has currently played the role of Alf for over 35 years.
Ada Nicodemou is an Australian actress of Greek Cypriot descent. She began her acting career in 1994 in TV serial Heartbreak High as Katerina Ioannou. She also starred in Police Rescue and Breakers.

Rowena Wallace is an English-born Australian stage and screen actress, most especially in the genre of television soap opera. She is best known for her Gold Logie-winning role as conniving Patricia "Pat the Rat" Hamilton/Morrell/Palmer in Sons and Daughters, being the first soap star to win the Gold Logie. Fish took part in season 13 of Dancing with the Stars, and she joined the recurring cast of The 100 as Ontari in 2016.
Dexter "Dex" Walker is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Charles Cottier. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 30 July 2009. Tom Green originated the role, but when the Walker family returned in 2010, Cottier took over the part. Cottier quit the role in early 2013 and Dexter made his last appearance on 13 November 2013.

Darryl "Brax" Braxton is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Steve Peacocke. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 16 February 2011. The character was created and introduced along with his two brothers; Heath and Casey. The trio were nicknamed The River Boys and were inspired by the real life Bra Boys group. When Peacocke learnt about the role of Brax, he initially thought he would not suit the part as he is from the country. However, after learning more about the character, Peacocke successfully auditioned for the role. Peacocke's departure was announced on 1 February 2015 and Brax made a temporary exit on 10 June 2015, before returning on 9 December. He made his final appearance on 7 June 2016.
Stephen Peacocke is an Australian actor, who appeared in theatre productions and portrayed minor roles in television dramas and films, including Suburban Mayhem and All Saints. Peacocke rose to prominence for his portrayal as Darryl Braxton on the television soap opera Home and Away, (2011-2016). For his role he won the Logie Award for Most Popular Actor on two occasions and is regarded as one of the show's most popular characters.
Heath Braxton is a fictional character from the Australian Channel Seven soap opera Home and Away, played by Dan Ewing. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 16 February 2011. Ewing confirmed his departure in December 2013 and Heath made his on-screen exit on 29 July 2014, but made a brief appearance on 23 September 2014 for his brother Casey Braxton's funeral. Heath and his wife Bianca Scott made a return in 2016 and departed on 3 February 2017. Ewing reprised the role for one episode on 3 February 2021.
Bonnie Sveen is an Australian actress. She began her acting career at the Huon Valley Theatre Company, before attending the National Institute of Dramatic Art. In 2010, Sveen starred in the multi-story drama film Before the Rain and made a guest appearance in the soap opera Home and Away. In 2013, Sveen appeared as the freed slave Chadara in Spartacus: Vengeance. Sveen also joined the main cast of Home and Away as Ricky Sharpe. For her portrayal of Ricky, Sveen won the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. Sveen appeared as Ricky in the 2015 spin-off Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye. The following year, she announced her departure from Home and Away, after she was cast in the Seven Network drama The Secret Daughter, alongside Jessica Mauboy.
Richard Huggett is an Australian film, television and theatre actor. After graduating from NIDA in 1988, Huggett guested in an episode of Home and Away, before he was cast as villain Sonny Bennett in E Street. Huggett's character killed four of the show's regulars, before taking his own life, bringing in strong ratings for the soap. Huggett went on to win the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent in 1991 for his portrayal of Sonny. Huggett next played Glen Donnelly in another soap Neighbours from 1990 until 1992. He only stayed for a year, as he wanted more to pursue more demanding roles. In 1994, Huggett joined short-lived soap Paradise Beach as Sam Dexter and police drama Blue Heelers as supporting character Sean Neale. He has also made guest appearances in various television shows, including Col'n Carpenter, All Saints and Out of the Blue. He appeared in the Australian film Aiyai: Wrathful Soul in 2020 and re-joined the cast of Neighbours as Glen in 2021. In addition to his television and film work, Huggett has also appeared in a number of theatre productions.
