Charles Grippo is an American attorney/ playwright /author/producer. [1] [2] [3] [4] His plays have been produced in multiple states throughout America, including Illinois, Indiana, New York, and California. He is best known for his plays, Sex Marks the Spot [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] and When Angels Wept [12] [13] When Angels Wept is based on the 1958 fire at the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School, in which ninety two children and three nuns died. He also wrote the books Stage Producer's Businessand Legal Guide [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] and Business and Legal Forms for the Theater [23] , both of which have gone into second editions. [24] He is president of New Lincoln Theatre, Inc., a commercial theater company, and Grippo Stage Company, Inc., a (501 (c) (3) public charity. [25] [26] He produced a revival of James Sherman's comedy The God of Isaac. [27] [28] [29] With Dennis Zacek, he produced Confessions of a P.I.M.P., written and performed by Tony Award (c) winner Andre De Shields. Disgraced (2012) is the first stage play by playwright, novelist, and screenwriter Ayad Akhtar. It premiered in Chicago and has had Off-Broadway and Off West End engagements. The play, which won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, opened on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater October 23, 2014. Disgraced has also been recognized with a 2012 Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work – Play or Musical and a 2013 Obie Award for Playwriting. The 2014 Broadway transfer earned a nomination for Tony Award for Best Play in 2015.

When Angels Wept by Charles Grippo is a play about the Our Lady of the Angels School fire. It had two productions in 2013 by New Lincoln Theatre at the Prop Theatre and City Lit Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. The story is centered on a small group of survivors of the fire and how the tragedy affected their lives until present day.

Julio Agustin is a Broadway performer and Broadway Legacy Robe winner. He performed in the original Broadway companies of Fosse, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown with actress Patti LuPone, Steel Pier, Never Gonna Dance, the revival of Bells Are Ringing, and was featured opposite Bebe Neuwirth in Chicago (musical). He appeared in the movies Center Stage and The Producers. In addition to his extensive work as a Broadway performer, he is a working director/choreographer, and was most nominated for an Audelco Award for his work as the director for the New Haarlem Arts Theatre’s Latina-inspired production of Sweet Charity.
