Matthew "Matt" Mann II was a British-born competitive swimmer and Hall of Fame American swimming coach born in Leeds, known for coaching the University of Michigan from 1925 to 1954, where he led his swimmers to 13 NCAA team titles. Considered one of the winningest coaches in American history, he served as the Head Coach of the U.S. men's swim team in the 1952 Summer Olympics that won four gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

Larry Lee "Zeke" Jones is an American wrestler who won a silver medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, a world championship in Varna, Bulgaria, in 1991, and was the former freestyle head coach at USA Wrestling. He is currently the head coach of the Arizona State University Wrestling team as of April, 2014. He was a six-time national freestyle champion, four-time World Cup champion, Pan American Games champion, and received the "World's Most Technical Wrestler Award" awarded by FILA, the international governing body for the sport. In college, he was a three-time All-American for Arizona State University and competed on the 1988 NCAA Championship team, coached by famed Bobby Douglas. After college, he wrestled on two world championships teams with the United States wrestling team. In 2005, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.
Thomas A. Slade was an American football quarterback who played for the University of Michigan Wolverines football team from 1971 to 1973.
Francea ("Francie") Norma Kraker Goodridge is a former women's track and field athlete and coach from the United States. She set a world record in the 600-yard indoor event and was the first Michigan-born woman to win a place on the U.S. Olympic team. She later coached women's track at the University of Michigan, Wake Forest University and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she was also the Coordinator of Women's Athletics. She has been inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor, the University of Michigan Women's Track and Field Hall of Fame and the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame.

Benjamin Abraham Braun is an American former men's college basketball coach and college basketball analyst. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Siena Heights University (1977–1985), Eastern Michigan University (1986–1996), the University of California, Berkeley (1996–2008), and Rice University (2008–2014), compiling a career coaching record of 615–517. He won the most games (185) of any head coach in the history of the Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball program and was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year three times. As the head coach of the California Golden Bears, he won the Pac-10 Coach of the Year and had a 219–154 record (.587). Braun currently is a studio and game basketball analyst for the Pac-12 Network.
Carol Sue Hutchins is an American former softball coach. In 38 years as the head coach of Michigan Wolverines softball, (1985–2022), she won more games than more than any other coach in University of Michigan history in any sport, male or female with 1,684 wins. Hutchins had a career record of 1,707 wins, 551 losses, and five ties, for a .759 winning percentage. She led the Wolverines to their first NCAA softball championship in 2005.
Elton James Rynearson Sr. was an American athlete, coach, and college athletics administrator. He was affiliated with Eastern Michigan University for most of his life, beginning his association with the school as a student in 1910 and retiring as the school's athletic director in 1963.
George E. "Gooch" Gauthier was an American football and basketball player, athletic coach, and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Michigan Agricultural College, now Michigan State University, in 1918 and at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1921 to 1946, compiling a career record of 125–101–15. Gauthier was also the head basketball coach at Michigan Agricultural from 1916 to 1920 and at Ohio Wesleyan for the 1945–1946 season, tallying a career mark of 47–46.
Lyman L. "Frim" Frimodig was an American athlete, college basketball coach and athletics administrator. He was the only athlete in the history of Michigan State University to receive ten varsity letters, four each in basketball and baseball and two in football. He held the school's single-game scoring record in basketball for 35 years. He was the head coach of the school's basketball team from 1920 to 1922 and subsequently served the school until 1960 as a professor of health and physical education, assistant athletics director, ticket sales manager, and athletics department business manager. He also served four years as the mayor of East Lansing, Michigan, from 1933 to 1937.
Irvin C. "Whiz" Wisniewski was an American football and basketball player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Hillsdale College in 1951, tallying a mark of 2–6. Wisniewski was also the head basketball coach at Hillsdale from 1950 to 1952 and at the University of Delaware from 1954 to 1966, compiling a career college basketball record of 124–179.
Ypsilanti, commonly shortened to Ypsi, is a college town and city located on the Huron River in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 20,648. The city is bounded to the north by Superior Township and on the west, south, and east by Ypsilanti Township. Ypsilanti is a part of the Ann Arbor metropolitan area, the Detroit-Warren-Ann Arbor combined statistical area, and the Great Lakes megalopolis. The city is also the home of Eastern Michigan University (EMU).
Elmer Dayton Mitchell was an American football and basketball coach in Michigan who is considered the father of intramural sports. He was the first varsity basketball coach at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and the founder of that school's intramural sports program. Through 2010, he has the highest winning percentage of any head coach in Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball history.
William J. Perigo was an American basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for Western Michigan University from 1931 to 1934 and professional basketball for the Indianapolis Kautskys from 1934 to 1936. Perigo also worked as a basketball coach for more than 25 years. He was the basketball coach at Benton Harbor High School for 13 years and led the team to the Michigan Class A state championship in 1941. He was the head basketball coach at Western Michigan University (1949–1952) and the University of Michigan (1952–1960). In 1983, he was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
Dennis "Denny" Hill is a hall-of-fame swim coach who coached at Pioneer High School for 46 years. During this tenure as coach, Pioneer High School won 31 Michigan High School State Swim Championships and 9 National Dual Meet Championships. The combined teams' overall dual meet record was 1011-128-2 (567-90 for the men and 444-38-2 for the women. The swim program produced 245 National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American Swimmers for a total of 862 All-American awards. Denny's wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Hill began coaching with him in 1983 and became co-head coach of the Pioneer men's and women's swim teams in 2005. They both retired from coaching the women's team in 2010 and the men's team in 2014.

The Eagles, led by 1st year head coach Charles E. Ramsey, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center and were members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 7–21, 3–15 in MAC play. They were knocked out in the 1st round of the MAC Tournament by Western Michigan.

The Eagles, led by 2nd year head coach Charles E. They finished the season 13–19, 6–10 in MAC play. They team finished 4th in the MAC West. They were knocked out in the 2nd round of the MAC Tournament by Toledo The team captains were Carlos Medlock, Craig Cashen.

They finished the season 14–14, 8–10 in MAC play. They finished 4th in the MAC West. They were knocked out in the 1st round of the MAC Tournament by Marshall.
