Charmin Lee is an American actress and director. Lee was born in Denver, Colorado. [1] She appeared in more than 90 films and television series since 1980s. She guest-starred on In the Heat of the Night , Sister, Sister , Drop Dead Diva , The Vampire Diaries , Being Mary Jane , Saints & Sinners , Sleepy Hollow , Dynasty , Homeland , and Westworld . [2] She had a recurring role as Jeanette Wood, Maya's Mother, on the series Girlfriends . She also had recurring role as Det. Cheryl Banks in the CBS series Diagnosis Murder from 1999 to 2001, and later appeared on Family Law , Outcast , The Quad , Doom Patrol and Bigger . [3] From 2015 to 2019 she played the recurring role of Georgia Darby in the CBS drama series, The Inspectors .

Lee appeared in films such as The 5th Wave (2016), Come Sunday (2018), Honey: Rise Up and Dance (2018), What Men Want (2019), Just Mercy (2019) and Palmer (2021). She also starred in BET Her film Everything is Fine (2020) directed by Victoria Rowell. [4]

In 2023, Lee directed the drama film God's Grace: The Sheila Johnson Story for BET+. [5] [6] [7]
