Charming the Hearts of Men is a 2021 American historical romantic drama film written and directed by S.E. DeRose and starring Kelsey Grammer, Anna Friel and Sean Astin. It is inspired by true events during the civil rights movement in 1964. [1]
In June 2021, it was announced that Gravitas Ventures acquired North American distribution rights to the film, which was released in theaters and On Demand on August 13, 2021. [1]

Christian Gallichio of Film Threat rated the film a 5 out of 10 and wrote, "Despite the pedigree and performances, the overall political sentiments and underdeveloped script hold Charming the Hearts of Man back from presenting a fully realized portrait of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.” [3]
Diane Ladd is an American actress. She has appeared in over 200 films and television shows. She received three Academy Award nominations for her roles in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974), Wild at Heart (1990), and Rambling Rose (1991), the first of which won her a British Academy Film Award. She was also nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards, winning one for her role in the sitcom Alice (1980–1981).
Anna Louise Friel is an English actress. She first achieved fame with her portrayal of Beth Jordache in the British soap opera Brookside (1993–1995), and came to international prominence when she played Charlotte "Chuck" Charles on ABC's Pushing Daisies (2007–2009), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. She won an International Emmy Award for her portrayal of the title character in the ITV/Netflix series Marcella (2016–2021).
