Chaudry Sher Ali Khan is a Pakistani politician who is a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab,since 23rd February 2024,having previously this post from 2008 to May 2018.
He was born on 24 July 1961 in Rawalpindi. [1]
He received his early education from Aitchison College. He has a degree of Bachelor of Science which he obtained in 1981 from F. G. Sir Syed College. [1]
He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) from Constituency PP-17 (Attock-III) in 2008 Pakistani general election. [2] [3] He received 41,409 votes and defeated a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party. [4] He is cousin of Prince Malik Ata Muhammad Khan and Malik Saeed Muhammad Khan. In 2010,he left PML-Q to join Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N). [5]
He was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PML-N from Constituency PP-18 (Attock-IV) in 2013 Pakistani general election. [6] [7] In June 2013,he was inducted into the provincial cabinet of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and was made Provincial Minister of Punjab for Energy with the additional portfolio of Mines and Mineral. [8] He remained Minister for Energy until November 2013. [1] [9]
He was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of Punjab for third time in 2024 Pakistani National Elections,as a candidate of PML-N received 48,593 votes. [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16]
Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal is a Pakistani businessman and politician who had been the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Information and Culture from 19 July 2019 to 2 December 2019. He also had been the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Industries,Commerce and Investment,in office from 27 August 2018 till 1 April 2022. He was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in 2024 and had previously been a member of the assembly from November 2002 to November 2007,from June 2013 to May 2018 and from August 2018 to January 2023. He also served as Senior Minister of Punjab from September 2022 till January 2023. NA-187 Rajanpur-I is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It mainly includes the area of Jampur Tehsil. Before the 2018 delimitations,it also included the town of Fazilpur,but it has since been moved to the new NA-194 (Rajanpur-II).

Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Punjab on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023,the results of the 2023 digital census were approved by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Therefore,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023,as announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). On 2 November 2023,the ECP announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections will be held on 8 February 2024. The election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
