Chella Ayyavu is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil Film Industry. His debut feature film was Silukkuvarupatti Singam starring Vishnu Vishal. He is also known for directing, writing and acting in the critically acclaimed film Gatta Kusthi starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi. [1]
Before being an independent director and film writer, he has worked as an assistant director for the feature film Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran and scripted it with director Ezhil. [2] [3]

Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, popularly known as Simbu or by his initials as STR, is an Indian actor and playback singer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is the eldest son of director T. Silukkuvarupatti Singam is a 2018 Indian Tamil language action comedy film written and directed by Chella Ayyavu. Produced by Vishnu Vishal, the film also features Vishnu in the lead role alongside Regina Cassandra. P. Ravi Shankar, Anandaraj, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Livingston, and Mansoor Ali Khan, among others, form an ensemble cast. The film features Leon James as composer, Ruben as editor, and Laxman Kumar as cinematographer. The venture began production in February 2017 and was released on 21 December 2018. Upon release, the film received mixed to positive reviews from the critics.

Gatta gusthi is a form of submission wrestling practiced in Kerala, India. It is competed inside an open ring on the ground, usually on a beach, known as godha. Wrestlers are called phayalvans.
