Chelsea Morgan Krost (born February 2, 1991) is an American speaker, author, television and radio talk-show host, executive producer, health coach, and entrepreneur. [1]

Career

Radio

From 2008 through 2011, Krost wrote and produced Teen Talk Live, [2] a teen-oriented radio show on WBZT 1230 AM, Palm Beaches' Talk Station, Boca Raton, Florida. [3] Themed "Our Voice, Our Opinion, Our Time to Talk", Krost discussed subject matter specific to the teenagers of her generation. [4]

In 2012, the show was renamed to The Chelsea Krost Radio Show, when the first episode for the re-branded show was produced and aired in November on Blog Talk Radio. [2]

Television

Krost has appeared as a guest contributor for television news shows, commenting on social issues faced by the Millennial Generation. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]

In 2013, Philadelphia broadcast television station WMCN and national production company, Studio City, launched The Chelsea Krost Show, [13] a talk-show platform discussing trends, issues and the culture of the Millennial Generation, and aired eight episodes from May through June 2013. This concept show pre-dated other shows, including Raising McCain. [14]

She is a regular contributor to Life, Love & Shopping, a subsidiary of The daily buzz. Krost is also a contributor for online programming including Answers.com, [15] Galtime.com. In 2011, Krost published A Reflection of My Teenage Experience in an Extraordinary Life. [21] It was released by Jacquie Jordan Inc Publishing.

In June 2011 and 2012, [22] Krost co-produced and hosted the New York City Women's Empowerment Summit with VIP Talent Connect. [23] Offering color commentary in print and online, Krost discussed the details of this one-day conference. During Advertising Week in September 2013, in New York City, Krost served as a contributing panelist for Cosmopolitan Magazine's marketing to millennials break-out session called, "Miss-Perception: Disrupting Millennial Myths and Stereotypes". [24]

Spokesperson and philanthropy

Chelsea sat on the board of Cosmopolitan Magazine as a Millennial board member [25] and has promoted brands such as Intel and MasterCard. [26]

In 2009, Krost became a spokesperson for U by Kotex, publishing six blogs for the organization from January 2010 through October 2013 on a variety of subjects about gynecological education and well-being. As U by Kotex spokesperson, Krost traveled to Nairobi, Africa in 2009 to educate young women about sanitary hygiene products and the importance of staying in school. [27] She delivered feminine hygiene products to the HEART Freedom for Girls Program and the Nyumbani Children's Home. The 10-day journey was documented for CBS and Fox News affiliates in Florida [28] through a four-part special called "Mission to Africa." Since then, Krost has been a part of mission trips to Peru, Joplin Missouri, and South Africa serving an educational role for young women. [29] In addition, she volunteers her time with SOS Children's Villages, Girls For A Change, The Unicorn Foundation, Africa Heart, and Dream Sponsors, Inc. [2]

Currently in its 28th season, the show has aired on ABC as part of the network's daytime programming block since August 11, 1997. It features a multi-generational panel of women, who discuss the day's "Hot Topics", such as sociopolitical and entertainment news. In addition to the conversation segments, the panel also conducts interviews with prominent figures, such as celebrities and politicians. Production of the show was held in ABC Television Studio 23 in New York City until 2014, when it relocated to the adjacent ABC Broadcast Center, where it stayed until 2024. <i>The Young Turks</i> American online news show

The Young Turks (TYT) is an American populist progressive news commentary show live streamed on social media platforms YouTube and Twitch. It additionally appears on selected television channels. TYT serves as the flagship program of the TYT Network, a multi-channel network of associated web series focusing on news and current events. TYT covers American politics, wars and conflicts in the Middle East, sports, and a wide array of other topics. The program was created by Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz and Dave Koller. Uygur is Turkish-American and named the program after the Young Turks movement of the 20th century. Currently co-hosted by Uygur and Ana Kasparian, it is also often accompanied by various other in-studio contributors. The Young Turks began as a radio program that premiered on February 14, 2002, on Sirius Satellite Radio before launching a web series component in 2005 on YouTube, and then later Twitch; at some point it was also carried on Air America.

The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards were held and filmed on April 25, 2015, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The show premiered on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 8/7c on Radio Disney and Disney Channel. For the first time, the broadcast nominees for the awards show were announced in a televised special, Disney Channel Presents the 2015 RDMA Nomination Special, on 27 February 2015 on Disney Channel.
