Chelsey Branham is an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing the 45th district from 2018 to 2020. [1]

Oklahoma is a state in the South Central region of the United States. It borders Texas to the south and west,Kansas to the north,Missouri to the northeast,Arkansas to the east,New Mexico to the west,and Colorado to the northwest. Partially in the western extreme of the Upland South,it is the 20th-most extensive and the 28th-most populous of the 50 United States. Its residents are known as Oklahomans and its capital and largest city is Oklahoma City. The state's name is derived from the Choctaw words okla,'people' and humma,which translates as 'red'. Oklahoma is also known informally by its nickname,"The Sooner State",in reference to the Sooners,American settlers who staked their claims in formerly American Indian-owned lands until the Indian Appropriations Act of 1889 authorized the Land Rush of 1889 opening the land to settlement.
The Tulsa race massacre,also known as the Tulsa race riot or the Black Wall Street massacre,was a two-day-long white supremacist terrorist massacre that took place between May 31 and June 1,1921,when mobs of white residents,some of whom had been appointed as deputies and armed by city government officials,attacked black residents and destroyed homes and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa,Oklahoma. The event is considered one of the worst incidents of racial violence in American history. The attackers burned and destroyed more than 35 square blocks of the neighborhood—at the time,one of the wealthiest black communities in the United States,colloquially known as "Black Wall Street."
The term Five Civilized Tribes was applied by the United States government in the early federal period of the history of the United States to the five major Native American nations in the Southeast:the Cherokee,Chickasaw,Choctaw,Muscogee (Creek),and Seminoles. White Americans classified them as "civilized" because they had adopted attributes of the Anglo-American culture.

The Bedlam Series is the name given to the Oklahoma–Oklahoma State rivalry. It refers to the athletics rivalry between Oklahoma State University Cowboys and Cowgirls of the Big 12 Conference and the University of Oklahoma Sooners of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Both schools were also members of the Big Eight Conference before the formation of the Big 12 Conference in 1996,and both were divisional rivals in the Big 12 South Division prior to 2011. Since Bedlam began in 1900,40 years of the rivalry's games were played without the teams playing in the same conference. The rivalry concluded as an annual conference matchup for football following the 2023–24 NCAA Division I FBS season,after which Oklahoma joined the SEC;while scheduling issues preclude the resumption of the Bedlam Series for football until the 2031 season,the Series will continue for basketball as a non-conference game for the 2024–25 season.

Its members introduce and vote on bills and resolutions,provide legislative oversight for state agencies,and help to craft the state's budget. The Oklahoma Sooners football team represents the University of Oklahoma (OU) in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision level in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The OU Press is one of the leading presses in the region,and is primarily known for its titles on the American West and Native Americans. The Great American Conference (GAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level,with headquarters located in Russellville,Arkansas. Athletic competition began play during the 2011–12 school year. Its twelve all-sports member schools are located in Arkansas and Oklahoma in the South Central United States. The conference also has four men's soccer affiliate members,two in Kansas and two in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City Ford Motor Company Branch Assembly Plant is a four-story brick structure in downtown Oklahoma City,Oklahoma. Located at 900 West Main Street it opened in 1916 as a Branch Assembly Plant,where they first assembled knocked down Model T and TT cars and trucks which had been shipped in by rail. It was one of 24 such plants built by Ford between 1910 and 1915. It served as an assembly plant until 1932 when sales of cars began to drop. From 1932 to 1968 the plant served on as a Ford Regional Parts Depot. Fred Jones Remanufacturing bought the facility in 1968 and utilized it for their Authorized Ford Remanufactured Parts business. Rebuilding Engines,starters,generators,transmissions and other automotive related parts,shipping them the world over. More recently in 2018,the facility debuted as a boutique hotel known as the 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City. It was inducted into Historic Hotels of America,the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation,not long thereafter in 2019.
