Chennai Slam was an UBA Pro Basketball League franchise based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu which began to play in 2015. They were the only team who has won the league twice. [1]
On 17 July 2015 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Chennai Slam started their first UBA Pro Basketball League season with a 65–61 loss to Hyderabad Sky, but made a comeback with four victories.[ citation needed ] The team finished its 6-game regular season in second place.[ citation needed ]
In the semifinals, Chennai Slam won over Punjab Steelers 92–77.[ citation needed ] They won the first season of the UBA Pro Basketball League by beating Pune Peshwas 81–49 in the finals.[ citation needed ]

SlamBall is a hybrid sport combining elements from basketball, football, hockey, and gymnastics played with four trampolines in front of each net and boards around the court edge. While SlamBall is based on basketball, it is a contact sport, with blocks, collisions and rough physical play as part of the game, similar to elements of American football and ice hockey.
The Bellingham Slam are a semi-professional basketball team that formerly competed for seven seasons in the International Basketball League. Before joining the IBL, they played two seasons in the American Basketball Association. They were originally expected to play in Everett, Washington, but were relocated to Bellingham, Washington under the ownership of John Dominguez. G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium is an indoor arena located in Hyderabad, India. It holds 5,000 people. It is located in the Gachibowli suburb. The stadium was built in 2002 headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu Government to host the 2003 Afro -Asian games. The indoor stadium is located beside the Hyderabad International Institute of Information Technology. The venue hosted the 2009 BWF World Championships. It is one of the home arenas for the India's prime basketball league, the UBA Pro Basketball League. In 2017, 3rd edition of TEDxHyderabad was conducted in Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
'3x3 International Pro Basketball League is men's and women's professional 3x3 basketball league founded in India, recognized by FIBA under Basketball Federation of India. Founded in 2017, the competition currently consists of 12 teams in men's and 6 in women's league.

Satnam Singh Bhamara is an Indian professional wrestler and former basketball player, currently signed to the American professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He became the first Indian player to be drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA) when the Dallas Mavericks selected him with the 52nd overall pick of the 2015 NBA draft. At 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) and 360 pounds (160 kg), Singh played the center position. He played high school basketball at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The United Basketball Alliance (UBA) was the first men’s professional basketball league in India, comprising eight teams. The UBA was headquartered in Pune and had a city team, Pune Peshwas. The first UBA match was played on 17 July 2015 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad between Bengaluru Beast and Pune Peshwas. The match was won by Pune Peshwas as they pulled out an 88-81 win. This marked the first time a professional basketball league tipped off in India.
