Cheshire Oaks Arena is a sports arena that is located as part of the Ellesmere Port Sports Village, a leisure centre in Ellesmere Port, England. On match days, the hall is converted into the arena with a seating capacity for 1,400 spectators. The arena's main tenants are the Cheshire Phoenix, who moved from their previous home at the Northgate Arena in Chester for the start of the 2015–16 season. [1]
The £15 million Ellesmere Port Sports Village, which the Cheshire Oaks Arena forms a part of, was officially opened by the Earl of Wessex in May 2015. [2]

Stanlow and Thornton railway station is located within the Stanlow Refinery in Cheshire, England. It lies on the Hooton–Helsby line with services operated by Northern Trains. The Cheshire Phoenix are a professional basketball team based in Ellesmere Port, United Kingdom. Founded in 1984, they are members of the British Basketball League and play their home games at the Cheshire Oaks Arena. From 1993 until 2015 the team was based in Chester, where they enjoyed their most success. Under previous ownership, the team was known as Cheshire Jets, but due to financial difficulties the franchise was withdrawn from the League in November 2012 and reformed as the Phoenix. The team's head coach is Ben Thomas.
