Minard Lafever (1798–1854) was an American architect of churches and houses in the United States in the early nineteenth century.
The Boston Post Road Historic District is a 286-acre (116 ha) National Historic Landmark District in Rye, New York, and is composed of five distinct and adjacent properties. Within this landmarked area are three architecturally significant, pre-Civil War mansions and their grounds; a 10,000-year-old Indigenous peoples site and viewshed; a private cemetery, and a nature preserve. It is one of only 11 National Historic Landmark Districts in New York State and the only National Historic Landmark District in Westchester County. It touches on the south side of the nation's oldest road, the Boston Post Road, which extends through Rye. A sandstone Westchester Turnpike marker "24", inspired by Benjamin Franklin's original mile marker system, is set into a wall that denotes the perimeter of three of the contributing properties. The district reaches to Milton Harbor of Long Island Sound. Two of the properties included in the National Park designation are anchored by Greek Revival buildings; the third property is dominated by a Gothic Revival structure that was designed by Alexander Jackson Davis.

The core of the village around the junction of Old Northwest Road and Route 164 is designated as the Preston City Historic District, a historic district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district is located along Old Shetucket and Amos Roads, which, prior to the 1930s, were major thoroughfares.

The Jay Estate is a 23-acre park and historic site in Rye, New York, with the 1838 Peter Augustus Jay House at its center. It is the keystone of the Boston Post Road Historic District, a National Historic Landmark District (NHL) created in 1993. The site is the surviving remnant of the 400-acre (1.6 km2) farm where US Founding Father, John Jay, grew up. It is also the place where he returned to celebrate the end of the Revolutionary War after he negotiated the 1783 Treaty of Paris with fellow peacemakers, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. The preserved property is located on the south side of the Boston Post Road and has a 3⁄4-mile (1.2 km) view of Milton Harbor.

Ames Family Homestead is a historic home and farm located in Center Township, LaPorte County, Indiana. The Captain Charles Ames House was built in 1842, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Federal style frame dwelling. It has a split granite stone basement and a gable roof with dormers. The Augustus Ames House was built in 1856, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Greek Revival style frame dwelling. It sits on a brick foundation and sheathed in clapboard siding. Also on the property are the contributing traverse frame barn (1838), privy, ice house, cow shed, corn crib, chicken coop, silo, water pump driveway marker, and wood shed.
Peter Augustus Maier House, also known as the Maier-Pollard House , is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana, United States. It was built in 1873, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, "L"-plan, Italianate style brick dwelling. It has a low-pitched slate cross-gable roof and features a bracketed cornice and paneled frieze. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house and original wrought iron fence.
The Vermeule Mansion, also known as the Van Derventer–Brunson House, is a historic house located at 614 Greenbrook Road in North Plainfield in Somerset County, New Jersey. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 27, 2004 for its significance in architecture from 1870 to 1911.
Bowerstown is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey near the Morris Canal and the Pohatcong Creek. It was founded in 1829 by Jesse Vanetta and Michael B. Bowers with the building of an iron foundry. The Bowerstown Historic District, encompassing the village, was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1996.
