Chick-fil-A Play is a family-friendly entertainment app by Chick-fil-A. It was released on the App Store on November 4, 2024, [1] and Google Play on November 14, 2024, [2] and was officially launched on November 18. [3] [4]
The app contains original shows, podcasts, games, recipes, and books, [3] [4] [5] including an original animated show titled Legends of Evergreen Hills and a scripted podcast titled Hidden Island. [6]
In August 2024, Chick-fil-A announced they would be releasing a streaming service. [7] [8]
By October 2024, more details had surfaced that the app was going to be more than just videos, and would be a larger entertainment app, alongside family-friendly media. [9] On October 18, 2024, Chick-fil-A released a trailer for one of their shows named Legends of Evergreen Hills, [10] with new episodes releasing each week through the holiday season. [6] In a press release on October 21, Chick-fil-A elaborated on the app's features, stating the app would be for parents and kids, and would be free. [4]

Dropout is an American subscription streaming service run by the production company of the same name, founded in September 2018. Dropout streams original programming, and does not run advertisements. Its content is mainly composed of live play, such as Dimension 20 hosted by Brennan Lee Mulligan, and improv comedy and panel shows like Game Changer and Make Some Noise, both hosted by Dropout owner Sam Reich. Dropout's series often feature a rotating cast of regular comedians and performers.

Apple began supporting podcasts with iTunes 4.9 released in June 2005 and launched its first standalone mobile app in 2012. The app was later pre-installed with iOS beginning October 2014. The Apple Podcasts directory features more than two million shows.
