Joe Simko is a New York City based illustrator who has contributed to Topps’ Garbage Pail Kids and Wacky Packages trading cards. Producer/Co-Director of the Garbage Pail Kids documentary film, 30 Years of Garbage. He is the illustrator/author of the book series, The Sweet Rot, and he designs artwork for bands, creating album covers, tour posters and concert shirts. His project Cereal Killers Trading Cards, 1st Series was released May 2, 2011. The Cereal Killers cards spoof breakfast cereals with popular horror films. Joe wrote and painted all 55 cards for the first and second set and launched the series through his new company, Wax Eye. Cereal Killers, 2nd Series was released through Wax Eye in June 2012.
Jahphet Negast Landis, known professionally as Roofeeo, is a Panamanian Drummer, DJ, and Music Producer. He is known for his participation in the Art Punk band The Death Set. Landis has a longstanding association with TV On The Radio, playing drums for the band after the death of bassist Gerard Smith and drummer Jaleel Bunton's move to Bass & Keys. He has also recorded/ played drums for Björk, Kanye West, Santigold, Spank Rock, Amanda Blank, Ninjasonik, and Theophilus London.
3rd Ward was an art centric business in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was variously described in the media as an artist collective or community, a contemporary art facility, an all-encompassing work studio and art space, a finishing school for the Etsy set, and a creative mainstay. It went out of business October 9, 2013.
Glasslands Gallery was a music venue, dance club and art space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn founded by Brooke Baxter and Rolyn Hu. Hu and Baxter owned and ran GlassLands from 2006-2012. In 2012 they made a turn key sale to Rami Haykal and Jake Rosenthal. Rosenthal and Haykal ran the space for two years until the venue was converted into Vice Media's office headquarters. As a concert venue, it was one of the longest-running of several experimental and DIY spaces in the vicinity of the Williamsburg waterfront, which included Death By Audio, Secret Project Robot, Monster Island and 285 Kent.
Pool Parties was a summer series of free outdoor concerts that took place in an abandoned olympic-size swimming pool in McCarren Park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn from 2006-2008 and at the East River State Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from 2009-2010.
