Project 211 was a higher education development and sponsorship scheme of the Chinese central government for preparing approximately 100 universities for the 21st century, initiated in November 1995. There were 115 universities and colleges selected to be part of this program.

The Ten Great Buildings are ten public buildings that were built in Beijing in 1959, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. They were part of an architecture and urbanism initiative of Chairman Mao's Great Leap Forward; most of the buildings were largely completed in a time span of ten months, by the deadline of 1 October 1959. In addition to the construction of these buildings, there was also an expansion of Tiananmen square, and a campaign of art commissions to decorate the majority of the buildings by the time of their completion. Two subsequent art campaigns for these buildings were conducted in 1961, and 1964–1965.

The Western Zhou Yan State Capital Museum is an archaeological museum in southwestern Beijing Municipality at the site of the capital of the ancient State of Yan during the Western Zhou dynasty. The site is located in Dongjialin Village, just north of Liulihe Township (琉璃河镇), in Fangshan District, 43 km (27 mi) south of Beijing's city centre. During the Western Zhou dynasty, over 3,000 years ago, the walled settlement at Liulihe, as the site is also known, served as the capital of the Yan, a vassal state of the Zhou dynasty. The discovery of the site in 1962 is considered to be one of the 100 major archaeological discoveries in China during the 20th century. Artifacts from the site including engraved bronze ware and chariots provide the earliest archaeological evidence of urban settlement in Beijing Municipality. The museum at the site, operated by the municipal government, opened in 1995.

The Memorial Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, also translated as the Korean War Museum, is a museum in Dandong, Liaoning. It is the only official museum in China that memorializes the Korean War. First established in 1953, it was rebuilt at its current location in October 1990. The new museum was opened on 27 July 1993, the 40th anniversary of the Panmunjom armistice. Since 2014 it has been closed for refurbishment. It was reopened on 9 September, 2020.

He was a student of painter Chao Shao-an. He is representative of ink painters of the Lingnan School, had considerable influence on ink wash in Taiwan. The subject matter of his creations covers both landscapes and feathers, with rich and varied forms and strong and vivid colors.

It had a trial opening on July 1, 2016, and officially opened on July 12. The museum is located at 168 Aihua Road, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, and is divided into four levels. The permanent exhibitions include 'Shanhun Haipo' (山魂海魄) showcasing Taizhou's historical and cultural heritage, and 'Dadi Qinghuai' (大地情怀) focusing on Taizhou's folk culture.
