Chris Agnello (born 1968) an American soccer coach who co-founded and coached the Utah Blitzz of the USL Second Division in 2000.
Agnello was the 1985 Gatorade Utah Player of the Year. He attended Warner Pacific College, playing on the men's soccer team. He then earned his master's degree in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Utah in 1998. In 2012 he completed his master's in Business Administration from the University of Utah. Over the years, he coached several youth teams before helping found the Utah Blitzz in 2000. [1] Agnello coached the Blitzz from 2000 to 2004. [2] He was the 2002 Pro League Coach of the Year. In 2001 and 2004 he guided the Utah Blitzz to winning the USL Pro League Championship. Coach Angello has coached in the highest American ranks in the Timbers [3] In 2005, he spent one season as an assistant coach with Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. [4] In December 2005, he was as Coach and General Manager of the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division. [5]

Utah Blitzz was an American professional soccer team in based in Salt Lake City, Utah that played in the USL Pro Select League. The club was founded in 2000 but folded following the 2004 season to make way for the Major League Soccer franchise, Real Salt Lake, to begin play in 2005. During its short existence the club was very successful, winning two league titles in total while finishing first or second in the Western Conference every season. The club played its home games at Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah.

He was named the NCAA Men's Division 1 "Coach of the Year" by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in both 2007 and 2008. During those seasons, Wake Forest won the 2007 NCAA D1 Championship over Ohio State University and finished with a 22–2–1 record, and were ranked #1 for most of 2008, before falling in the Final Four to North Carolina.
