Christopher Arthur Gibson (born 24 May 1951) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Cessnock, New South Wales. Having moved to Tasmania, he contested the 1989 state election as a Liberal candidate for Denison, but was unsuccessful. However, sitting Liberal member John Bennett resigned in 1990 and Gibson was elected in the countback held on 19 February. He held the seat until his defeat at the 1992 state election. [1]

Stephen Shane Parry is an Australian politician who was a Liberal Party senator for Tasmania from 2005 to 2017. He was elected President of the Senate in 2014. On 31 October 2017, Parry informed the government that he may be a British citizen, and issued his intention to resign from his position if dual nationality was confirmed. The next day he reported that he had received confirmation of his dual citizenship and, on 2 November, he resigned as president and from the Senate. He was replaced in the Senate by next Liberal Party Tasmanian Senate candidate and former senator Richard Colbeck after a recount.
William Edward Felix Hodgman is an Australian diplomat and former politician who has been the High Commissioner of Australia to Singapore since February 2021. He was the 45th Premier of Tasmania and a member for the Division of Franklin in the Tasmanian House of Assembly from the 2002 state election until his resignation in January 2020. He became premier following the 2014 state election, having been Leader of the Opposition since 2006. He was re-elected to a second term in government following victory in the 2018 state election. In March 2018, he succeeded Angus Bethune as the longest-serving leader in the history of the Tasmanian Liberals. He resigned as the Premier of Tasmania, the Leader of the Tasmanian Liberals and Member of the Parliament of Tasmania on 20 January 2020. In April 2020, Hodgman was appointed as the chair of Australian Business Growth Fund by federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. Hodgman is from Hobart and was educated at the University of Tasmania.

Adrian Gibson was an Australian politician. Born in Hobart, Tasmania, he was educated there at Hutchins School and at the University of Tasmania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 1959. He became a barrister in 1959, as well as a company director and grazier. In 1964, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as a member of the Liberal Party, winning a by-election for the seat of Denison. He held the seat until his retirement in 1969.

In the 1986 state election, he was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly as a Liberal member for Denison, and he served as a minister from 1986 to 1989. Bennett resigned from parliament on 30 January 1990.

Christopher Lawrence Batt is a former Australian politician. Batt was born in Hobart, Tasmania; he was the nephew of Neil Batt, who later served as Tasmanian Deputy Premier. He contested the 1986 state election as a Labor candidate for Lyons, but was not successful. However, in 1987 he was elected in a countback following the resignation of Labor MLA Darrel Baldock. Batt held his seat until he was defeated at the 1989 state election.
Robert Wilfred Baker was an Australian lawyer, legal scholar and politician, who was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 1969 as a Liberal member for Denison. He held his seat until 1980, when the results of the 1979 state election were voided and a by-election was held, in which Baker lost his seat to fellow Liberal Gabriel Haros.
