Christopher Ernest Maitland Griffiths OBE (born June 1954) is Foundation Professor of Dermatology at the University of Manchester, Director of the Manchester Centre for Dermatology Research, and Head of the Dermatology Theme of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre. He is an Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

Griffiths graduated with a first-class degree in Anatomy from St Thomas's Hospital Medical School in 1976 and completed an MBBS in Medicine in 1979. [2] He trained in Dermatology at St Mary's Hospital, London, where he was a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellow from 1985 to 1987. In 1987 he became a research fellow in Dermatology at the University of Michigan, becoming an Assistant Professor from 1989 to 1993. He founded the Manchester Dermatopharmacology Unit and the Manchester Psoriasis Service in 1994, and co-founded the International Psoriasis Council in 2004. He was President of the British Association of Dermatologists from 2004 to 2005. [3]

He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and an elected Member of Academia Europaea. He was awarded the Sir Archibald Gray Medal for outstanding service to British Dermatology in 2015, and the Society of Cosmetic Scientists' Medal in 2016. He was made an OBE in the 2018 New Year Honours, for services to dermatology. [4] He has an h-index of 113. [5]

Derek Bell was Professor of Acute Medicine at Imperial College London and continues to be an emeritus Professor. He has been a Consultant Physician at Central Middles Hospital, The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and most recently at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Appointed as the joint chair of two NHS Trusts in 2021. His initial leadership saw him and others receive parliamentary criticism. Professor Bell was the director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) CLAHRC for Northwest London. He was President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, elected in November 2013 he took office on 1 March 2014 succeeding Neil Dewhurst. He was re-elected for a second term on 24 November 2016. He was awarded an OBE in the 2018 New Year Honours for services to Unscheduled Care and Quality Improvement.

Irene May Leigh CBE FRSE FMedSci is a British dermatologist. A former professor of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, she is now a professor emeritus at the University of Dundee School of Medicine. Her research has focused on keratinocytes, non-melanoma skin cancers and genetic skin diseases. She was elected to the Academy of Medical Sciences in 1999 and appointed CBE in 2012.

Gokhan Okan is a Turkish physician and author. He is European Board Certified as an associate professor dermatologist. He took part in 23rd World Congress of Dermatology which was conducted in Vancouver in the year 2015. For his work, he was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and of the Royal College of Physicians of London.

Joel M. Gelfand is an American dermatologist and epidemiologist at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as the James J. Leyden Professor in Clinical Investigation, the Vice Chair of Clinical Research, the director of the Psoriasis and Phototherapy Treatment Center, and the medical director of the Clinical Studies Unit in the Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He studies systemic comorbidities of psoriasis and much of his research has centered on the connection between cardiovascular disease and psoriasis.
