Annelise Coberger is a New Zealand former alpine skier. Born in Christchurch, she became the first person from the Southern Hemisphere to win a medal at the Winter Olympics when she won silver in the slalom at Albertville in France in 1992. For this success, at the annual Halberg Awards she was awarded the title of New Zealand Sportsman of the Year. Coberger also competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer but did not finish her first run of the slalom. Coberger remained the only Winter Olympic medalist from New Zealand for 26 years until Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won bronze in the women's big air at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
New Zealand competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan. The country was represented by 2 athletes, Ross Ewington and Chris Womersley, both in the Alpine Skiing events. Womersley finished 41st, and Ewington 49th in Downhill. The flagbearer at the opening ceremony was Alan Ward the team Manager.

The delegation consisted of a single athlete, alpine skier Laurence Thoms. He competed in both the slalom, where he failed to complete his first run, and in the giant slalom, in which he finished 55th out of the 57 skiers who successfully completed both of their runs. Thoms gained media attention for representing a tropical nation at the Winter Olympics.
Leyti Seck is a Senegalese alpine skier.he holds dual Austrian/Senegalese nationality. He competed on the international skiing circuit after turning professional in 2002, and competed for Senegal at both the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics.

Israel has participated at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which occurred from February 12–28, 2010. This was the fifth time Israel took part in the Winter Olympics. The Israeli delegation consisted of alpine skier Mykhaylo Renzhyn and ice dancing duo Alexandra Zaretsky and Roman Zaretsky. Tamar Katz qualified, but the Israeli National Olympic Committee (NOC) did not permit her to compete. They did not bring home a medal during these Olympics.

Annette Hersey Johnson was an alpine skier from New Zealand. She competed for New Zealand at the 1952 Winter Olympics at Oslo, and came 30th in the Giant Slalom (3-0.66), the best result for the New Zealand team, but did not finish in the Slalom. Her niece Fiona Johnson was an alpine skier at the 1980 Winter Olympics.

Alice Robinson is a New Zealand alpine ski racer. At age 16, she competed in the women's giant slalom at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
