Christian Beeck (born 18 December 1971) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender. [1] [2] He was the team captain of FC Energie Cottbus in the 2. Bundesliga.

Beeck's career ended after he suffered a knee injury when playing for Cottbus. On 27 September 2005, he took a coaching role with Union Berlin.

After retiring

After retiring in 2005, Beeck was hired as athletic supervisor for Union Berlin. He left the job in 2011, and was hired at Energie Cottbus also as athletic supervisor. In June 2013 he left the job.

The 2012–13 FC Energie Cottbus season is the 48th season in the club's football history. In 2012–13 the club plays in the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga, the second tier of German football. It is the clubs fourth consecutive season in this league, having played at this level since 2009–10, after it was relegated from the Fußball-Bundesliga in 2009.

BFC Dynamo finished the 2003–04 Verbandsliga Berlin in first place and won promotion back to the NOFV-Oberliga Nord. Mario Weinkauf was elected as the new club president on 18 June 2004. His vision was a club that was "managed seriously from a sporting and financial perspective". Former professional player Christian Backs became the new coach for the 2004–05 season. Rajko Fijalek served as assistant coach and former professional goalkeeper Bodo Rudwaleit as goalkeeping coach. Central players in the team were Robert Rudwaleit, Nico Thomaschewski, Dennis Kutrieb, Jörn Lenz and Danny Kukulies. BFC Dynamo finished is first season in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord, since returning from the insolvency crisis, in sixth place.
