Christian Dornaus (born Johann Ernst Fischer, May 3, 1930) is an Austrian musician and composer. Born Johann Ernst Fischer, Dornaus also used the names Andy Fischer and Johnny Fischer. [1] During the 1960s, he had a string of hit songs in Germany before composing music for other artists.
Dornaus was born Johann Ernst Fischer on May 3, 1930 in Vienna. His father died when Dornaus was six years old, and at the beginning of World War II, he was sent to England, where he lived with a Quaker family. There, he went on to attend the Rudolf Steiner School. At age 17, he returned home to Vienna, after which he began studying music. [1]
Dornaus began his career in the early 1950s playing piano in a club in Salzburg, after which he took a job in Germany playing bass guitar. In 1957, he met Kurt Edelhagen and played as a bassist in his big band until 1962, at which point Dornaus joined Heinz Gietz as a studio musician. He remained with Gietz's studio until 1966, when he joined Edelhagen on tour as the band's producer and manager. [1] Throughout the 1960s, Dornaus released numerous singles, including "Oh, Oh, What A Kiss" (1966), [1] [2] "Mister Cannibal" (1966), [3] "A Man in the Woods", [4] and "Der Babyspeck ist Weg". [5]
In 1970, Dornaus switched to producing, working alongside Ralph Siegel. [1] He composed music for several artists, including Chuck Bennett's "Love with a Touch of Soul",[ citation needed ] Cindy's "Mama (Angelo Mio)", [6] Pepe Lienhard's "Jeanny Is My Memory", and Penny McLean's "Tut-Ench-Amun".[ citation needed ]
Morcheeba are an English electronic band formed in the mid-1990s with founding members vocalist Skye Edwards and the brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. They mix influences from trip hop, rock, folk rock and downtempo, and have produced ten regular studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the UK top ten. Edwards left the band in 2003, after which the brothers used a number of singers before she rejoined in 2009. They recruit additional members for their live performances and have toured internationally. In 2014 Paul Godfrey resigned from the band. Edwards and Ross Godfrey later formed Skye & Ross and released a self-titled album in September 2016. Their latest studio album as Morcheeba, Blackest Blue, was released in May 2021 and was preceded by singles "Sounds of Blue", "Oh Oh Yeah" and "The Moon". It features collaborations with Brad Barr from The Barr Brothers, and Duke Garwood, whom Edwards described as "a diamond geezer".

William McCreery Ramsey was an American-German jazz and pop singer, journalist and actor famous for his German-language hits. He returned to Germany a year after he had served compulsory military service with the U.S. Air Force there. Active as a singer of jazz and pop already as a soldier, he made a career in different fields of musical entertainment. Rudi Schuricke was a popular German singer and actor. In the 1930s he was Second Tenor with the Kardosch Singers, a popular vocal ensemble of the time. When the group dissolved in 1935, Schuricke joined the Spree Revellers and later proceeded to found his own vocal group, the Schuricke Terzett. He also appeared as a solo singer with many popular orchestras of the 1930s and 40s. His 1949 recording of "Capri-Fischer" was a "smash hit" in Germany. Even as late as the mid-1950s, he was still a successful musical artist. In 1954 alone, his song "Moulin Rouge" was the 74th most purchased single on the German year-end chart and another of his songs "Das Märchen unserer Liebe" appeared on the German Top50 chart. The advent of the rock 'n' roll age, however, soon made his music out-dated.

In February 2017, Capital Bra released his second studio album Makarov Komplex which peaked within the top five in Austria, Germany and in Switzerland, spawning four singles of which "Es geht ums Geschäft" entered the charts at number 76 in Germany. The limited box set of Makarov Komplex included his first EP Oh Kolleg. In May of the same year, he distributed his second EP Ibrakadabra to minor commercial success in Switzerland.

The first person narrator states that the song's aim is to "test the limits of what is permitted and what is forbidden". It was published on 26 March 2021 as the first single of an album, also called Das ist alles von der Kunstfreiheit gedeckt, by the label of his band Antilopen Gang. The song made it into the German and Austrian singles charts. On 2 April 2021, the song started off at number 69 on the German singles charts. Within two weeks of publishing, the corresponding music video had been viewed 1.3 million times on YouTube. On 9 April 2021, the song was performed by artist Danger Dan, accompanied by pianist Igor Levit, on the German TV show ZDF Magazin Royale.
