Christian Taylor is an American football coach who is currently a defensive quality control coach for the Buffalo Bills.

Playing career

Taylor grew up in Yorktown, Virginia and attended Grafton High School. [1] He played college football at William & Mary, where he was a backup quarterback for four seasons and the Tribes' primary holder on field goal attempts for his final two seasons. [2]

Coaching career

Taylor began his coaching career at William & Mary as a tight ends coach in 2008 and served as the Tribe's quarterbacks coach in 2009. He was hired as an offensive assistant at San Diego State by head coach Brady Hoke in 2010. [3] Taylor followed Hoke to Michigan after he was hired as the Wolverines' head coach in 2011. [4]

After one year as an offensive assistant at Michigan, Taylor was hired as the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of San Diego. Taylor spent two years with the Toreros before leaving to become the offensive coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University. [5] [6] IWU averaged a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin-high 34.3 points per game in 2015. [7]

Taylor returned to USD as the Toreros' wide receivers coach in 2016 and spent two seasons at that position before being promoted to co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2018. He was USD's sole offensive coordinator in 2019. [8]

Taylor hired as the offensive coordinator and running backs coach before the start of the 2020 season. [9] The Tribe led Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in 2021 with 205 rushing yards per game. [10]

On February 7, 2024, Taylor was named as defensive quality control coach for the Buffalo Bills under head coach Sean McDermott, who is also a William & Mary alumnus. [11]

Lou Tepper is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1991 to 1996, the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, from 2000 to 2005, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2006 to 2010, compiling a career college football coaching record of 101–75–2. Mike DeBord is an American football coach who was most recently the offensive coordinator at the University of Kansas. He was previously the offensive coordinator of the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and was the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Indiana University prior to joining the AAF. DeBord was the head football coach at Central Michigan University from 2000 to 2003, compiling a record of 12–34. He worked as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan for a total of 11 seasons, from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2004 to 2007. Ronald Allen Caragher is an American former college football coach. He was previously the head coach at the University of San Diego and San Jose State. Originally from Morgan Hill, California, Caragher played college football at UCLA and later became an assistant coach for UCLA football, first as a graduate assistant from 1994 to 1995, then as wide receivers coach from 1996 to 2002. From 2003 to 2006, Caragher served as running backs coach for Kentucky and was part of the 2006 Music City Bowl championship coaching staff.

Michael Christianson is an American football college and professional coach. Christianson most recently served as the assistant running backs coach and the Director of Technology for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) in 2011 through 2013 which featured a Super Bowl appearance against the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII (47). Prior to his tenure with the 49ers, Christianson also served on University of Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh's staff at the University of San Diego (USD) where the Toreros of the Pioneer Football League won a Division I-AA Mid-Major National title in 2006. He has worked as a football coach at several other National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) institutions, including The University of Nebraska, Montana State University and Portland State University. Christianson coached the offensive line in 2002-2003 as a member of Jon Gruden's staff and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning Super Bowl XXXVII (37). Christianson played tight-end and offensive lineman at Western Oregon University.

Joseph Brady is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers from 2020 to 2021. He was a passing game coordinator and wide receiver coach for the LSU Tigers during the 2019 season, winning the Broyles Award for the best assistant coach in college football, and an offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints from 2017 to 2018.
