Christine Margaret Scott (born 17 March 1946) is a former Australian politician. She was a Labor member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 2001 to 2004, representing the seat of Charters Towers.

Scott was born in Broome in Western Australia, and gained a Graduate Diploma in Information Studies, a Bachelor of Teaching (Adult and Further Education) and a Diploma of Education (Adult and Community Education). She was self-employed before her election to parliament, and was also a member of the Premier's Council for Women. In 2001, she won the seat of Charters Towers in that year's Labor landslide, but she was defeated in 2004. [1]

Palaszczuk retired from politics in 2006, and was succeeded in his seat of Inala by his daughter Annastacia Palaszczuk, who has been the Premier of Queensland since 2015.

In 2004, she retired in order to contest the federal seat of Herbert, held by the Liberal Party's Peter Lindsay, in the 2004 federal election but was unsuccessful.

He is host of the Scott Emerson Drive Show on Brisbane talkback radio station 4BC and a regular contributor on Nine Network breakfast television program Today and Sky News Australia. He served as the Minister for Transport and Main Roads Minister in the Newman Ministry from 2012 to 2015. In the Legislative Assembly of Queensland he represented the seat of Indooroopilly in Brisbane's inner-west, from 2009 to 2017. Indooroopilly was abolished at the 2017 state election and Emerson chose to contest the new seat of Maiwar which had a notional LNP margin of 3%; Emerson was unsuccessful in his bid, losing to the Greens candidate Michael Berkman.

Dianne Elizabeth Farmer is an Australian politician currently serving as the Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills of Queensland. She was first elected for the seat of Bulimba to the Queensland State Parliament for the Labor Party at the 2009 Queensland election but lost her seat at the 2012 election to Aaron Dillaway of the Liberal National Party. Farmer defeated Dillaway at the 2015 election to regain Bulimba for Labor and was re-elected in 2017 and 2020.
