The Greek Men's Handball Championship, or Handball Premier, is the most important competition of Greek handball. The competition which is organised by Hellenic Handball Federation started in 1979–80 season. The most successful team is Ionikos Nea Filadelfeia who has won ten titles. The last title was won by Olympiacos.

The 2005–06 season was the 82nd season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the 47th consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the UEFA Cup. The season began on 29 August 2005 and finished on 14 May 2006.

The 2011–12 season was the 88th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the 53rd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Super League, the Greek Cup and the UEFA Europa League. The season began on 18 August 2011 and finished on 20 May 2012.

The 2013–14 season was the 90th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the first in the third tier of Greek football. They competed in the Football League 2 and the Football League 2 Cup. The season began on 22 September 2013 and finished on 21 May 2014.
