Christoph Kunz (born 24 March 1982) is an alpine skier who won a gold and a silver medal for Switzerland at the 2010 Winter Paralympics. Kunz also represented Switzerland at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi winning a gold medal in the giant slalom. [1]
The 2014 Winter Paralympics, the 11th Paralympic Winter Games, and also more generally known as the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, were an international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), held in Sochi, Russia, from 7 to 16 March 2014. 45 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) participated in the Games, which marked the first time Russia ever hosted the Paralympics. The Games featured 72 medal events in five sports, and saw the debut of snowboarding at the Winter Paralympics.

Russia's tally of 80 medals is the highest total ever recorded. The previous record was held by Austria with 70 medals in 1984. However, following the Games, the IPC discovered evidence that Russia's performance has been aided by a wider state-sponsored doping program.

His best performance in any event was 14th in the men's standing 20 kilometer freestyle, he finished 31st in the 10 km event, and did not advance from the qualification round of the 1 km sprint.

He finished 22nd in the sitting giant slalom, nearly a minute behind the gold medal time.

On March 12, 2014, she was congratulated by the Russian President Vladimir Putin for winning a bronze medal in 1 km cross-country skiing. Previously, she also was a gold medalist at the 2006 and bronze one at the 2010 Winter Paralympics.
Azat Karachurin is a Russian Paralympic biathlete who won gold medal for the 12.5 km standing event despite missing one target on March 11, 2014, at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. After the event, he received congratulations from the Russian President Vladimir Putin who said that his hard work earned him a medal. He was also a winner of bronze medal for the 7.5 km biathlon race in the same place.
Vasily Shaptsiaboi is a Belarusian Paralympic biathlete, cross-country skier, and road bicycle racer who won many medals at both Winter and Summer Paralympic Games.
