Born in Dessau, Reuter studied jazz piano and music education at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin and the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. He passed his concert exam with Richie Beirach. Since 2007, he has premiered three piano concertos. For the Impulse Festival [1] für Neue Musik in Sachsen-Anhalt entstanden die Auftragswerke Die Himmelsscheibe und Teufelsspiegel. In 2010, he and singer Cristin Claas wrote the music for the children's opera Oskar und die Groschenbande. [2] (text: Andreas Hillger), die beim Kurt-Weill-Fest in March 2012 at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau under the direction of Silke Wallstein. Another premiere took place on 25 February 2013 in Hamburg under the direction of Claudia Cerachowitz. In the same year, the Musical Sarg niemals nie. [3]
Reuter composes for orchestras such as the Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau, the Staatskapelle Halle, the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg, choirs, bands and writes music for plays. His concert activities as a pianist take him to Germany and abroad. He gives solo concerts, plays in Cristin Claas' trio and in the electro jazz band ye:solar. He has released numerous albums with his diverse band projects. Since 2006, he has made regular guest appearances with cabaret artist Eckart von Hirschhausen.
In 2017, he received the Thüringer Kleinkunstpreis of the city of Meiningen. [4]

Helena Forti was a dramatic soprano active 1906 – 1924, closely associated with the Dresden royal court opera, known for her beauty, voice and strong stage presence. She sang all Wagner’s opera heroines, in Dresden, Bayreuth and internationally. Other repertoire included the title role in Verdi’s Aida, Santuzza in Cavalleria and contemporary works like Marietta in Korngold’s Die tote Stadt. She created the role of Mytocle in Eugen d’Albert’s opera Die toten Augen. Her Sieglinde in Die Walküre in Braunschweig was described by the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik as “Equally endowed with youth, beauty and vocal means... (Forti) immerses herself so intensely in her role that one believes the transformation of the virgin-Goddess into a human form.” After retiring from singing she taught voice and acting in Gera, Düsseldorf and Vienna. She died in Vienna, where she lived with her stage director and Intendant husband, Walter Bruno Iltz.

The Philharmonische Staatsorchester Halle was a symphony orchestra in Halle that existed from 1946 to 2006, which functioned as a concert orchestra and was last predominantly supported by the Land of Saxony-Anhalt. As a result of the fusion with the Orchester des Opernhauses Halle, the Orchestra was merged into the Staatskapelle Halle in 2006.
