Maribo is a town in Lolland Municipality in Region Sjælland on the island of Lolland in south Denmark. It was the municipal seat of the former Maribo Municipality, until 1 January 2007, and then it became the seat of the current Lolland Municipality.
Nykøbing Falster is a southern Danish city, seat of the Guldborgsund kommune. It belongs to Region Sjælland. The city lies on Falster, connected by the 295-metre-long (323 yd) Frederick IX Bridge over the Guldborgsund waterway to the island of Lolland. The town has a population of 16,927. Svane Apotek, which existed from 1660 to 1994, was one of the first pharmacies to open in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was in 1849 acquired by Alfred Nicolai Bentzon and was owned by the Benzon family until 1967. Its former building. a five-storey, Functionalist property located at the corner of Østergade and Ny Østergade, was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency in 1992.

Løve Apotek was the first pharmacy in Copenhagen, Denmark. It opened in 1620 and operated until its closing in 1971, for a total of approximately 350 years. For the entire duration of its existence, it was located at the corner of Amagertorv and Hyskenstræde. The most recent building that it occupied was built for the pharmacy in 1908.

Frantz Christopher Henrik Hohlenberg was a Danish naval officer who specialised in ship design and had little seagoing experience. He succeeded Ernst Wilhelm Stibolt as Master Shipbuilder (fabriksmester) at the Royal Danish Dockyards in 1796. His ships included five ships of the line and 18 frigates. Three of the ships of the line and nine of the frigates were captured at the 1807 Battle of Copenhagen and subsequently added to the Royal Navy. He resigned after a controversy in 1803.
Alfred Benzon was a Danish pharmacist, businessman and politician. He was responsible for the considerable expansion of the family's pharmaceutical company Alfred Benzon A/S. He was also the proprietor of the Swan Pharmacy in Copenhagen. He chaired the Pharmaceutical Society of Denmark from 1894 until 1926. He was a member of the Copenhagen City Council from 1896 to 1908 and the Danish parliament from 1901 to 1903.
Alfred Nicolai Benzon was a Danish pharmacist and industrialist. He was the proprietor of the Swan Pharmacy on Østergade in Copenhagen and founder of Denmark's first pharmaceutical company Alfred Benzon A/S. The company was later continued by his sons Alfred and Otto Benzon.
