Jarvis Island is an uninhabited 1 3⁄4-square-mile (4.5 km2) coral island located in the South Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Hawaii and the Cook Islands. It is an unincorporated, unorganized territory of the United States, administered by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service of the United States Department of the Interior as part of the National Wildlife Refuge system. Unlike most coral atolls, the lagoon on Jarvis is wholly dry.

It was directed by Alfred E. Green and starred Wallace Reid in one of his last screen roles. The story, based on the 1909 play The Ghost Breaker by Paul Dickey and Charles W. Goddard, had been released on film in 1914, directed by Cecil B. DeMille and Oscar Apfel.
Jarvis Christopher Lang is an American former professional basketball player. A 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) power forward, Lang had a lauded collegiate career at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte between 1990–91 and 1994–95 prior to playing professionally overseas. He was known as a rugged player who was difficult to contain in the low post offensively while providing a stiff challenge defensively.
Jarvis Charles Landry is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University for the LSU Tigers and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. With the Dolphins, Landry made three Pro Bowls and with the Browns, earned two more Pro Bowls. He led the league in receptions in 2017 with 112. His 564 career receptions are the most by a player through his first six seasons in NFL history.
