Christy Curtis Buss (born December 28, 1958) is an American dancer, choreographer, and actress. She started her career as an actress and dancer before she became a Cheerleader and choreographer for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Clippers and the director or the Los Angeles Sparks Kids [1] Buss is the former daughter-in-law of Jerry Buss, who owned the Los Angeles Lakers and other sports businesses. Early life

Christy Curtis Buss was born on December 28, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri. [3] She grew up dancing at her mother's dance studio [4] [5] and continued to hone her skills as a dancer and choreographer throughout her life. [6] [4]

Professional career

After winning The ABC TV Special All American Women in 1979, [7] [8] Christy moved to Los Angeles, California. [5] [2] She became the captain of the Los Angeles Rams cheerleaders and traveled the world. Christy acted in commercials, film and soap operas which led her to choreographing shows [1] [9] such as NBC's Passions and Days of Our Lives . [10] in 1999 or the movie Private School in 1983. She also worked on choreography for Sunset Beach, [11] The LeAnn Rimes Tour, Paul Rodriquez and Dian Diaz in Las Vegas, MTV, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Sparks, and Bob Hope Super Bowl Special USO Tours [3] [12] [13] She also appeared as celebrity host on TV shows Showbiz Tonight [14] and Celebrity Host on Showbiz Today . [3]

In 1993, Christy opened dance studio while also choreographing with partners and groups for special occasions. In 2016 Christy launched her online show All About Christy. [15] [16] Buss sold her dance studio in 2021. She is now the founder and CEO of a skincare company. [17]

Personal life

Around 1991, Christy Curtis Buss married Johnny Buss, the former executive vice president of the Los Angeles Lakers and son of Jerry Buss. [18] [19] They were separated by 2012. [20]

Awards and achievements

Christy Curtis Buss received the 2002 Adjudicators Award at the Tremaine Dance Convention and the 2016 Artistic Director's Award at the LA Dance Magic Convention. [21]

James Hatten Buss is an American sports executive. He is a part-owner and former executive vice president of basketball operations of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is the son of former Lakers owner Jerry Buss. Buss was president of the Los Angeles Lazers professional indoor soccer team from 1985 to 1989. He later trained thoroughbred race horses for nine years before joining the Lakers in 1998 as an assistant general manager. He was promoted to vice president of basketball operations in 2005. After his father died in 2013, his controlling ownership of the Lakers passed to his children via a family trust, with each child receiving an equal interest.

Johnny Hatten Buss is an American sports executive who is a part-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously held positions as president of the Los Angeles Lazers professional indoor soccer team and the Los Angeles Sparks professional women's basketball team. He is the oldest son of the late Lakers owner Jerry Buss.

Kala, known professionally as Kala Master, is an Indian choreographer. She is the director of the Indian reality dance talent show, Maanada Mayilada – where she is one of the three judges. Yvonne Helen "Patsy" Swayze was an American film choreographer, dancer, and dance instructor, and the mother of actors Patrick Swayze and Don Swayze. Her credits include choreography for Urban Cowboy, Liar's Moon and Hope Floats.

Emily Barker is a British dancer and choreographer. She is a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.
