Chuck Meade is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2004 to 2007. Meade was first elected in a February 2004 special election following the resignation of incumbent representative Greg Stumbo to become attorney general. [1] He was defeated for renomination in 2006 by Brandon Spencer. [2]
Ernest Lee Fletcher is an American physician and politician who was the 60th governor of Kentucky from 2003 to 2007. He previously served three consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives before resigning after elected governor. A member of the Republican Party,Fletcher was a family practice physician and a Baptist lay minister and is the second physician to be elected Governor of Kentucky;the first was Luke P. Brandon Spencer is an American politician from Kentucky. First elected as a constable in Floyd County,Spencer was elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 95th district as a member of the Democratic Party in 2006 after defeating incumbent representative Chuck Meade in the primary election. This was his second attempt for the seat,having lost the Democratic primary in his first attempt. He later resigned from the house less than one year into his term.
