She was catapulted to stardom after she enacted Ranjana in Anjan Dutta's National Award winning Bengali film Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona (2011).

Director Kaushik Ganguly won the award of best director for Apur Panchali in the 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in November 2013. The director mentioned in an interview that he found similarities between certain parts of the life of Subir Banerjee and the iconic character Apu. The film uses several minutes of footage from Pather Panchali in its narrative.
Kanamachi was a Kolkata-Bengali TV series that premiered on 9 June 2014 on the channel Star Jalsha. The series starred Farhan Imroze and Joyeeta Goswami in lead roles and Anindita Bose, Sudip Mukherjee, Monoj Ojha and Mohua Halder in supporting roles. It was directed by Suman Das and Tamal Maity.
Byomkesh was a 2014 Indian Bengali crime fiction television series based on the Bengali sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.
