Michael Minkler is a motion picture sound re-recording mixer. He has received Academy Awards for his work on Dreamgirls, Chicago and Black Hawk Down. His varied career has also included films like Inglourious Basterds, JFK and Star Wars, as well as television programs like The Pacific and John Adams. Minkler works at Todd-AO Hollywood. He is also the Managing Director of Moving Pictures Media Group, a company that specializes in film development, packaging projects for production funding acquisition.

The 47th Cinema Audio Society Awards, which were held on February 19, 2011, honored the outstanding achievements in sound mixing in film and television of 2010.

The 46th Cinema Audio Society Awards, which were held on February 27, 2010, honored the outstanding achievements in sound mixing in film and television of 2009.

Paul N. J. Ottosson is a Swedish sound designer. The recipient of numerous accolades, including three Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award, he has worked on more than 130 films since 1995.

Stephen A. Tibbo is a sound mixer who has worked in American Pie 2, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, in addition to television shows including Modern Family, Ghost Whisperer, and Life. In addition, Tibbo did webisodes for the show Childrens Hospital, which won an Emmy". Since the early 1990s, Stephen Tibbo has "worked in both production and post production" and in "2007 Stephen built his own stage to do ADR and to mix film and television projects".

The 52nd Cinema Audio Society Awards were held on February 20, 2016, in the Bunker Hill Ballroom of the OMNI Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza, Los Angeles, honoring outstanding achievements in sound mixing in film and television of 2015.

The Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Motion Picture – Live Action is an annual award given by the Cinema Audio Society to live action motion picture sound mixer for their outstanding achievements in sound mixing. The award came to its current title in 2013, when feature motion pictures were separated into two categories; achievement in live action sound mixing, and achievement in animated sound mixing. Before this, the category was labeled Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for Motion Pictures, and was given annually starting in 1994.

The award was first given in 1995, and has been awarded every year since; the only changes with the category have been to its title.

The Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for Television Non Fiction, Variety or Music – Series or Specials is an annual award given by the Cinema Audio Society to sound mixers for their outstanding achievements in sound mixing for non fiction, variety or music series/specials television productions.

The Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Motion Picture – Documentary is an annual award given by the Cinema Audio Society to documentary motion picture sound mixers for their outstanding achievements in sound mixing. It has been awarded since 2017.
