The Cisco Scouts were a West Texas League baseball team based in Cisco, Texas, United States that played from 1920 to 1921. In 1921, they changed their name to the Cisco Orphans, but eventually disbanded. [1]

Major league players Joe Bratcher and Tim Griesenbeck played for them.

The Cisco Kid is a fictional character found in numerous film, radio, television and comic book series based on the fictional Western character created by O. Henry in his 1907 short story "The Caballero's Way", published in the collection Heart of the West, as well as in Everybody's Magazine, v17, July 1907. Originally a murderous criminal in O. Henry's story, the Kid was depicted as a heroic Mexican caballero later in films, radio and television adaptations.

Cisco College is a community college in Cisco, Texas located in Eastland County between Fort Worth and Abilene, where Highways 183, 206, and 6 intersect Interstate 20. The main campus is 92 acres (370,000 m2) outside of Cisco, and the Abilene Educational Center is 38 acres (150,000 m2) in Abilene. The college is accredited to award associate degrees by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Henry Harold "Cotton" Pippen was a 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher for three years with St. Louis Cardinals (1936), Philadelphia Athletics (1939), and Detroit Tigers (1939–1940). Pippen was born in Cisco, Texas, where his father was a rancher. Nicknamed "Cotton" because of the color of his light blond hair and blue eyes. Over three seasons in the Major Leagues, Pippen won 5 games and lost 16 with a career earned run average of 6.38. His 12 losses in 1939 was 10th highest in the American League.

Galen Bernard Cisco is an American former baseball player and coach. He was a pitcher in Major League Baseball for three different teams between 1961 and 1969. Listed at 6 feet (1.8 m) tall and 200 pounds (91 kg), Cisco batted and threw right-handed. He was signed by the Boston Red Sox in 1958 out of Ohio State University.

Michael 'Bo' Kelly is a retired arena football player who was a fullback/linebacker in the Arena Football League (AFL) for twelve seasons during the 1990s and 2000s. Kelly played college football for East Texas State University. He played professionally for the Arizona Rattlers and Carolina Cobras of the AFL.
