Clara Napaga Tia Sulemana (born 1987) is a female Ghanaian politician and a presidential staffer of the Nana Akufo-Addo led government. [1] [2] She is the daughter of Alhaji Tia Sulemana, a founding father of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana. [3] [4]
Napaga had her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrated Development Studies with focus in social, political and historical studies from the University for Development Studies. [5]
Upon completion of her undergraduate study, Napaga started her journey in politics as a campaign aide to the New Patriotic Party (NPP). She was later appointed as a presidential staffer when the party won the 2016 presidential elections. [6] Sulemana sits on the governing board of the Tamale Teaching Hospital. [3] In 2022 when the NPP government decided to scrap off the Ministry for Special Development Initiatives (MSDI) as one of the measures by the government to reduce the number of Ministries and ministers in its second term, she was then appointed as Coordinator for Special Development Initiatives. [7]

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a centre-right and liberal-conservative political party in Ghana. John Kufuor of the NPP was President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009. At the elections held on 7 December 2004, the party won 129 out of 230 seats. The NPP candidate was Kufuor, who was re-elected as president with 52.75% of the vote. The New Patriotic Party symbol is the African elephant and the New Patriotic Party colours are red, white, and blue.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the president of Ghana since 2017. He previously served as Attorney General from 2001 to 2003 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007 under the Kufuor-led administration.
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2008. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the votes, a run-off election was held on 28 December 2008 between the two candidates who received the most votes, Nana Akufo-Addo of the governing New Patriotic Party and John Atta Mills of the opposition National Democratic Congress. Mills was certified as the victor by a margin of less than one percent, winning the presidency on his third attempt. It is to date the closest election in Ghanaian history.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is a Ghanaian politician. He served as Ghana’s Minister for Trade and Industry from 2017 to 2023. Kyerematen was Ghana's Ambassador to the United States and later Minister of Trade and Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD), and Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) during President John Kufuor's administration. Mahamudu Bawumia is a Ghanaian economist and former central banker who serves as the 5th Vice President of Ghana in the 4th Ghanaian Republic. He assumed office on 7th January 2017 as Vice President of Ghana.
The 2010 New Patriotic Party presidential primary election was a nationwide election organized by the Electoral Commission of Ghana at the request of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana for the election of a candidate that would represent the party in the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections. It was held on 7 August 2010. The New Patriotic Party is the biggest opposition party in the Parliament of Ghana with 107 members of parliament out of 230.
Victor Nicholas Ohene Kwaku Newman was a founding member of New Patriotic Party and before his death was an administrative staff member in the Fourth Republic of Ghana serving as Director of Research in the government of Nana Akufo-Addo. He died on 10 December 2020.
Daniel Kwaku Botwe is a Ghanaian politician. He is the Member of Parliament of Okere constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He served as Minister for Information and National Orientation in the John Agyekum Kufour administration and also served as the Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development and the Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development in the Nana Akufo-Addo first and second term of office respectively.
Owusu Afriyie Akoto is a Ghanaian agricultural economist and politician. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and was a Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency from 2009 to 2017. He was the cabinet minister in the Nana Akufo-Addo administration and served as Minister of Food and Agriculture of Ghana. He resigned on 10 January 2023 to focus on his presidential ambition. He holds MSc and PHD Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Cambridge, England.
Anthony Abayifaa Karbo is a Ghanaian politician and member of Parliament of the Lawra constituency in the upper west region of Ghana. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the deputy minister for Roads and Highways in Ghana.
Samuel Abu Jinapor, is a Ghanaian lawyer and a politician. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the Member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency. In 2017, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo appointed him as Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations at the Office of the President, at the age of 33, the youngest in the history of Ghana to occupy such a position. He is currently the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and assumed position as caretaker Minister of Trade and Industry on 16th January, 2023.

Anthony Nsiah-Asare is a Ghanaian medical officer, academic and health management expert. He has worked in the Ghanaian health sector for close to forty years serving at various management levels. He was the Director General of the Ghana Health Service. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party is currently the Presidential Advisor on Health to Nana Akufo-Addo.
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2020. Incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was re-elected in the first round after securing a majority of the votes. Former President John Dramani Mahama announced that he would contest the results. At the Supreme Court, a petition challenging the result was filed on 30 December, and unanimously dismissed on 4 March 2021 for lack of merit.
The presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo began on 7 January 2017. Following the 2016 Ghanaian general elections, Nana Akufo-Addo the flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party, succeeded John Mahama as the 5th President of the Ghanaian Fourth Republic after winning by a landslide. He won a second term on 9 December 2020 in a tightly contested race against National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate and former president, John Mahama.
Umar Farouk Aliu Mahama is a Ghanaian politician who is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He is the member of parliament for the Yendi Constituency after winning in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
