Claude Alphonse Nsilou (born 1954 [1] ) is a Congolese politician who has served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Trade since 2017. Previously he was Minister of Construction, City Planning, and Housing from 2002 to 2017. He is the President of the Citizen Rally (RC).

Nsilou,an architect by profession,was born in Brazzaville. He was the President and Director-General of Sifroid and was a member of the Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI),led by Bernard Kolélas. [1] In the power-sharing government of Prime Minister Claude Antoine Dacosta,Nsilou was appointed as Minister of Equipment and Public Works on 25 December 1992;this government served until a new parliamentary election was held in mid-1993. [2] Nsilou later became President of the RC,supporting the January 2002 constitutional referendum [3] and helping to direct President Denis Sassou Nguesso's campaign for the March 2002 presidential election. [4]
Nsilou was elected to the National Assembly in the May–June 2002 parliamentary election as the RC candidate in the fifth constituency of Makélékélé (part of Brazzaville), [1] [5] winning the seat in a second round of voting. [5] Following the election,he was appointed to the government as Minister of Construction,City Planning,Housing,and Land Reform on 18 August 2002; [6] he succeeded Florent Ntsiba at the head of that ministry on 23 August. [7] His portfolio was slightly reduced on 3 March 2007,when he was appointed as Minister of Construction,City Planning,and Housing. [6]
In the June–August 2007 parliamentary election,Nsilou was again elected to the National Assembly as the RC candidate in the second constituency of Bacongo (part of Brazzaville);he was the only member of the RC to win a seat. [8] After winning 43.13% of the vote in the first round,he faced MCDDI candidate Barthélémy Nkouka in the second round [9] and prevailed. [8] He was subsequently retained in his position as Minister of Construction,City Planning,and Housing in the government named on 30 December 2007. [6] [10]
Nsilou was moved to the post of Minister of State for Trade,Supply and Consumption on 22 August 2017. [11] [12]
Isidore Mvouba is a Congolese politician who was Prime Minister of Congo-Brazzaville from 2005 to 2009. He is a member of the Congolese Labour Party and held key positions under President Denis Sassou Nguesso beginning in 1997.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Republic of the Congo on 24 June 2007,with a second round initially planned for 22 July 2007,but then postponed to 5 August 2007. According to the National Commission of the Organization of the Elections (CONEL),1,807 candidates stood in the first round for 137 seats in the National Assembly. The ruling Congolese Labour Party and parties and independent candidates allied with it won 125 seats,while two opposition parties won a combined 12 seats.
Bernard Bakana Kolélas was a Congolese politician and President of the Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI). Kolélas was a long-time opponent of the single-party rule of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT),and after the introduction of multiparty politics in the early 1990s he was one of Congo-Brazzaville's most important political leaders. He placed second in the August 1992 presidential election,behind Pascal Lissouba;subsequently he was mayor of Brazzaville,the capital,during the mid-1990s,and he briefly served as Prime Minister of Congo-Brazzaville during the 1997 civil war. After rebel forces prevailed in the civil war,he lived in exile for eight years until an amnesty made it possible for him to return;he was then elected to the National Assembly in 2007.
Florent Ntsiba is a Congolese politician. A high-ranking and long-time figure under President Denis Sassou Nguesso,Ntsiba initially rose to prominence through the military in the single-party regime of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT) in the 1970s. He was Minister of Information from 1979 to 1983;although he fell out of favor with the party leadership in 1983,he returned to the government as Minister of Equipment from 1989 to 1991.
Yvonne Adélaïde Moundélé-Ngollo is a Congolese politician who has served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises since 2007. She was previously Director-General of Hydro-Congo from 1998 to 1999 and Minister of Trade from 2002 to 2007.

He was a Minister-Delegate in the government of Congo-Brazzaville from 1995 to 1997,and he was briefly Minister of the Budget and the Coordination of Financial Administration in 1997. Matéta was a candidate in the 2002 presidential election and has been High Commissioner for Civic Instruction and Moral Education since 2002.
Mpaki Bernard is a Congolese politician who served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Fishing and Aquaculture from 2012 to 2016. A member of the Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI),he was first vice-president of the National Assembly of Congo-Brazzaville for a brief period in 1992,and he was second vice-president of the National Assembly from 2007 to 2012.
Léon-Alfred Opimbat is a Congolese politician. He served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Health from 1992 to 1993 and as Minister of National Solidarity and Humanitarian Action from 1997 to 2002,with additional responsibility for the health portfolio beginning in 1999. Subsequently he was a Deputy in the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and again from 2007 to 2011. He was also President of the New Democratic Forces (FDN),a political party,from 2007 to 2011;when the FDN merged itself into the ruling Congolese Labour Party (PCT) in July 2011,Opimbat became a member of the PCT Political Bureau. He was Minister of Sports from 2011 to 2017,and he has been First Vice-President of the National Assembly since 2017.

Serge Michel Odzoki is a Congolese politician. A member of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT),he is a journalist by profession and worked for years as a diplomat before serving in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Sports and Youth from December 2007 to September 2009. He has been a Deputy in the National Assembly since 2009 and Spokesman of the PCT since 2011.
Auguste-Célestin Gongarad Nkoua is a Congolese politician and the President of the Patriotic Union for Democracy and Progress (UPDP),a political party. He served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from 1991 to 1992,as Minister of Water and Forests from 1992 to 1993,and again as Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from 1997 to 2002. Subsequently,he was President of the Economic and Social Council,a state institution,from 2003 to 2009. In 2009,he was appointed as President Denis Sassou Nguesso's Personal Representative for Political Affairs.
Hugues Ngouélondélé is a Congolese politician who was Mayor of Brazzaville from 2003 to 2017. He also served as a Deputy in the National Assembly of Congo-Brazzaville beginning in 2002. He has served in the government as Minister of Sports since 2017.
Claude-Ernest Ndalla is a Congolese politician. First coming to prominence as a radical youth leader in 1960s Congo-Brazzaville,he was one of the leading members of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT) in the period immediately following its founding in 1969,but after a few years his career fell into a long decline due to factional struggles within the PCT. Later,he served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Youth Redeployment and Sports from 1997 to 1999,and he has been a Special Adviser to President Denis Sassou Nguesso since 2003.
Lamyr Nguélé is a Congolese politician. He served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister-Delegate in charge of Land Reform from 2002 to 2005 and then as Minister of Land Reform from 2005 to 2009. Subsequently he was a Deputy in the National Assembly from 2009 to 2012. He has been President of the National Commission for the Fight Against Corruption since 2013.
Guy Brice Parfait Kolélas was a Congolese politician. Following the death of his father,Bernard Kolélas,he succeeded him as Interim President of the Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI),one of Congo-Brazzaville's main political parties,in 2010. He served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Marine and Inland Fishing from 2007 to 2009 and as Minister of the Civil Service from 2009 to 2015. After placing a distant second in the 2016 parliamentary election,he founded a new party,the Union of Humanist Democrats-Yuki,in 2017.
Euloge Landry Kolélas is a Congolese politician who served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Trade from 2015 to 2017. Previously he was a Deputy in the National Assembly from 2007 to 2012. He is the President of the Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI),a political party,and has served as High Commissioner for the Reintegration of Former Combatants since 2017.
Pierre Mabiala is a Congolese politician who has served in the government of the Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Land Affairs since 2017. He serves in Anatole Collinet Makosso's government. Previously he was a Deputy in the National Assembly of Congo-Brazzaville from 2002 to 2007,a Senator from 2008 to 2009,Minister of Land Affairs from 2009 to 2016,and Minister of Justice from 2016 to 2017.
René-Dambert Ndouane is a Congolese politician who served in the government of Congo-Brazzaville as Minister of Tourism from 1997 to 1999 and as Minister of Labour from 1999 to 2002. He was Second Vice-President of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and First Vice-President of the National Assembly from 2012 to 2017.
