Claudio Desolati (born 24 January 1955) is a former Italian professional footballer who played as a forward. [2]
In his youth, Desolati played for Genoa. [2]
In 1971, he was bought by Fiorentina, where he spent ten seasons, winning the 1974–75 Coppa Italia. [2]
He then played for Pistoiese, [3] Foggia, [4] Siena, [4] Imperia, [4] and Castelfiorentino. [4]
In 2022, he was inducted into ACF Fiorentina Hall of Fame. [5]

ACF Fiorentina, commonly referred to as Fiorentina, is an Italian professional football club based in Florence, Tuscany. The original team was founded by a merger in August 1926, while the current club was refounded in August 2002 following bankruptcy. Fiorentina have always played at the top level of Italian football but six seasons, since Serie A was created; only four clubs have played in more Serie A seasons.

A skillful and creative offensive playmaker, regarded as one of the best Italian players of all time in his position, he played most of his club career with Fiorentina, with whom they won the Coppa Italia and the Anglo-Italian League Cup in 1975. At international level, he won the 1982 FIFA World Cup with the Italy national team, and he also represented his country at the 1978 FIFA World Cup, and at the 1980 UEFA European Championship, finishing in fourth place on both occasions.
