Clay Patterson is an American college football coach. He is the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for Kent State University, positions he has held since 2024. Patterson served as the head football coach at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College from 2016 to 2017.
Patterson first played college football as a wide receiver at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College before transferring and finishing his career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Patterson began his coaching career as the wide receivers coach at his alma mater of Southeastern Oklahoma State. He had stints at Tarleton State, Texas A&M Kingsville and Trinity Valley Community College before being hired as the head coach at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. [1] In 2018 he was hired by P. J. Fleck to be the tight ends coach at the University of Minnesota. [2] In 2022, Patterson was hired as the tight ends coach and pass game coordinator at Colorado. [3] [4] Following an 0–5 start to the 2022 season, Colorado fired head coach Karl Dorell and named offensive coordinator Mike Sanford Jr. the interim head coach, and Sanford promoted Patterson to the open offensive coordinator position. Karl James Dorrell is an American football coach. He has been the head coach for the UCLA Bruins and Colorado Buffaloes, being named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year for both. Dorrell led the UCLA Bruins to five bowl appearances and was the first African American head football coach in their history.
Philip John Fleck Jr. is an American football coach and former wide receiver. He has served as the head coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team since 2017.
Troy McHenry Walters is an American football coach and former player who is the wide receivers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). Walters played as a wide receiver and punt returner in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. Walters played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, earning consensus All-American honors and winning the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the season's outstanding college football receiver. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings, and also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions of the NFL.
Tim Brewster is an American football coach and former player. He is the associate head coach and tight ends coach for Charlotte. He also served as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator for the North Carolina Tar Heels football program. He was the head coach of the University of Minnesota from 2007 until he was fired midway through the Golden Gophers' 2010 season. In 2011, Brewster was a sideline analyst for Fox College Football and the 'NFL on Fox with Gus Johnson and Charles Davis.

Merritt James Norvell III is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Colorado State University, a position he has held since the 2022 season. Norvell served as the head football coach at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2017 to 2021. His father, Merritt Norvell, was the athletic director at Michigan State University from 1995 to 1998.
