Interstate 95 (I-95) is a part of the Interstate Highway System that runs north–south from Miami, Florida to Houlton, Maine. The highway enters Maine from the New Hampshire state line in Kittery and runs for 303 miles (488 km) to the Canada–United States border at Houlton. It is the only primary Interstate Highway in Maine. In 2004, the highway's route between Portland and Gardiner was changed so that it encompasses the entire Maine Turnpike, a toll road running from Kittery to Augusta. As an Interstate Highway, all of I-95 in Maine is included in the National Highway System, a network of roads important to the country's economy, defense, and mobility.

Zillman Art Museum-University of Maine (ZAM) is an art museum in downtown Bangor, Maine. It is part of the University of Maine, which is located in nearby Orono, Maine. The University of Maine Art Collection was established in 1946, under the leadership of Vincent Hartgen. As the initial faculty member of the Department of Art and curator of the art collection, Hartgen's goal was to provide the people of Maine with significant opportunities to experience and learn about the visual arts and their diverse histories and cultural meanings.
C. Parker Crowell (1876–1959) was an American architect in practice in Bangor, Maine, from 1902 until his retirement in 1956. Crowell and his firm would design over 1000 buildings in the course of his career. The firm Crowell co-founded is still in business as WBRC.
Joseph 'Joe' C. Perry is an American businessperson and politician from Maine. Perry, a Democrat, served in the Maine Senate from District 32, which included his hometown of Bangor and Hermon. He was first elected to the Senate in 2004 after serving from 8 years (1996-2004) in the Maine House of Representatives representing part of Bangor. He defeated incumbent Republican Senator Tom Sawyer by 280 votes. In 2015, Perry won a seat on the Bangor City Council.
The Cross Insurance Center is a 5,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Bangor, Maine, United States. The arena holds up to 8,500 people for concerts, and features an attached 2,000-person convention center. It was built at an estimated cost of $65 million. Part of the city's Bass Park complex, it is located across from Hollywood Casino Bangor. It is the home of the basketball teams of the Maine Black Bears.
Mildred Brown "Brownie" Schrumpf was an American home economist, food educator, and author. Named the "Unofficial Ambassador of Good Eating" by the Maine Department of Agriculture, she wrote a weekly food column for the Bangor Daily News from 1951 to 1994 promoting traditional Maine recipes. She was the main proponent of the claim that the chocolate brownie was invented in Bangor. She was inducted into the Maine Women's Hall of Fame in 1997.
The 1912 Maine Black Bears football team was an American football team that represented the University of Maine as an independent during the 1912 college football season. The team compiled a 7–1 record and shut out six of its eight opponents. Its only setback was a 7–0 loss on the road against national champion, Harvard. Thomas J. Riley was the coach, and Thomas Shepard was the team captain.
The 1946 Maine Black Bears football team was an American football team that represented the University of Maine as a member of the Maine Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and the Yankee Conference during the 1946 college football season. In its second season under head coach George E. Allen, the team compiled a 2–5 record and finished in second place in the MIAC and last place in the Yankee Conference. Richard Burrill was the team captain. The team played its home games at Alumni Field in Orono, Maine.
