Vasco da Gama Club [2] is a private members' community club based in Bermuda. It currently forms part of the Bermuda Football Association, competing in its First Division League, the second tier of Bermuda football. The team has historically had Portuguese players, but more recently has seen many English and Bermudian players on the club.
Vasco da Gama Club is one of the most successful Bermudian Teams in history, having lifted the Premier League title three times (most recently in 1999) and the Bermuda FA Cup four times (most recently in 1998). They play games at the North Village Community Club in Pembroke, Bermuda, and their Club Headquarters are on Reid Street in Hamilton, Bermuda.
In the 1970s, a group of Portuguese immigrants coming from Azores started to reunite on the club to organize festivals to celebrate the Portuguese culture on Hawkins Island. In 1978 they decided to create a football program with a professional team playing on Bermuda Football Union [3] and a youth team. [2]

Romário de Souza Faria, known simply as Romário, is a Brazilian politician and a former professional footballer. A prolific striker renowned for his clinical finishing, he scored over 700 goals and is one of the few players to score at least 100 goals for three different clubs. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time. Romário starred for Brazil in their 1994 FIFA World Cup triumph, receiving the Golden Ball as player of the tournament. He was named FIFA World Player of the Year the same year. He came fifth in the FIFA Player of the Century internet poll in 1999, was elected to the FIFA World Cup Dream Team in 2002, and was named in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players in 2004.
Estádio Vasco da Gama, also known as Estádio São Januário, owing to its location on a street of the same name, is the home ground of Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama. Its facade is listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage.

Vasco da Gama, often shortened to Vasco, is a city in the state of Goa on the west coast of India. It is named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. It is the headquarters of the Mormugão taluka (subdistrict). Carlos Roberto de Oliveira, known as Roberto Dinamite, was a Brazilian footballer and politician. He was born in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro state. With a career as centre forward spanning over twenty years, Roberto is Vasco da Gama's player with the most appearances and all-time top goalscorer, as well as the overall leading scorer in the Brazilian Série A and the Rio de Janeiro State Championship. At the national level, Roberto Dinamite played in the 1978 and 1982 FIFA World Cups and the 1972 Olympic Games. He was president of Vasco da Gama from 2008 to 2014.

Founded in 1987, the team has been inactive for periods prior to its most recent reinstatement in 2016. The team is affiliated with Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and play their home games at São Januário. The team colors, reflected in their logo and uniform, are white and black. They play in the third tier of women's football in Brazil, the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino Série A3, and in the Campeonato Carioca de Futebol Feminino, the traditional in-state competition.
