Clyde Getty

Clyde Getty (born 22 September 1961) is an Argentine freestyle skier. [1] [2] Getty was born in the United States to Argentinian parents. [1]

Career

Although Clyde Getty qualified for the US team, he opted to join the Argentinian Olympic Ski Team instead, because of his lineage. Getty competed in the Torino Olympics Men's freestyle skiing [3] and was the oldest competitor at the event.

In 1989 Getty became a member of the US Freestyle Skiing Team. After finishing, Getty continued to manage his computer systems consulting business, [3] GettySystems.[ citation needed ]

Bahrke was also the 2009 US National Champion in dual moguls. She has reached the podium twice at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, winning bronze in 2003 and silver in 2007, both in dual moguls.

Ashley Caldwell is an American freestyle skier who has competed in aerials since 2008. Caldwell won her first World Cup aerials event in the United States in Lake Placid, New York in January 2011, becoming the youngest freestyle female ever to win.

Rick Gulyas is a Canadian former ski jumper who competed in the 1972 Winter Olympics, held in Sapporo, Japan, finishing in 48th position in the men's individual small hill competition. Worldwide, his final standing in the 1971–72 season was 78th overall. Rick is also known as a competitor in International Freestyle skiing events as an aerialist. He made 1st place finishes in Men's Aerials in a number of competitions in Canada and the US. In addition to his Nordic jumping skills, he also a capable inverted-jump aerialist in Freestyle skiing.

Kiley McKinnon is an American freestyle skier. She came in first place in the aerials competition during the 2015 FIS World Cup Champion and also won a silver medal in aerials at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2015 in Kreischberg, Austria. In 2018, McKinnon represented Team USA in the PyeongChang Olympics and placed 10th in aerials. McKinnon is a co-founder of Halfdays, a direct-to-consumer brand for women's ski wear made of recycled fabrics that launched in November 2020.

Matt Chojnacki is a Freestyle Skiing Aerialist on the United States Ski Team from 1995 to 2001 and competed in Freestyle skiing at the 1998 Winter Olympics – Men's aerials. During that period he had six podium finishes, including one win, on the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup, and was the 1998 United States National Champion in Aerials.

Alexander Hall, known colloquially as A Hall, is an American freestyle skier from Fairbanks, Alaska. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, while competing for team USA, Hall won the Olympic gold medal in Frestyle skiing – Men's slopestyle.

The men's aerials competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 15 February (qualification) and 16 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Qi Guangpu of China won the event; this was his first Olympic gold medal. Oleksandr Abramenko of Ukraine, the defending champion, won the second medal, and Ilya Burov, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, won bronze, replicating his 2018 achievement.

The women's aerials competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 14 February at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Xu Mengtao of China won the event, which became her first Olympic gold medal. Hanna Huskova of Belarus won the silver medal, and Megan Nick of the United States bronze, also her first Olympic medal.

Miha Fontaine is a Canadian freestyle skier who competes internationally in the aerials discipline. He is the son of former Aerials world champion Nicolas Fontaine.

Émile Nadeau is a Canadian freestyle skier who competes internationally in the aerials discipline.
