Codes and Secret Longing is the debut studio album by Canadian solo artist Raised by Swans. It was written in its entirety by Eric Howden, recorded at Andy Magoffin's studio, House of Miracles, and released on April 11, 2005. [1] The album cover features the two protagonists of the film Grave of the Fireflies.

Raised by Swans is the recording alias of Canadian solo artist Eric Howden. A singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Howden chose the name 'Raised By Swans' in 1997 following a cathartic dream he had after leaving his previous band, The Gandharvas; the name relies on a homonym to convey a simultaneous sense of connection and freedom.

In each episode, show host Jason "Mayhem" Miller challenged bullies to fight against a professional mixed martial artist for a chance to win $10,000. The money they would receive depended on their performance against their opponent, with any money they didn't win going to the bully's victims. If the bully managed to submit or knock out the martial artist at any time, he/she won a $5000 bonus.
