PepsiCo was formed in 1965 with the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay, Inc. The Brooklyn Bottling Group is one of the largest independently owned beverage and food company in the United States. Founded by Jack Miller in 1936, the company started out by selling seltzers and syrups door to door in Brooklyn neighborhoods. The second generation, Arnold Miller, acquired the first bottling facility and the company began to produce soft drinks in 1947. In its third generation, Eric Miller has expanded the company's line up to include fruit juices.
Energy Brands, also doing business as Glacéau, is a privately owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company based in Whitestone, Queens, New York, that manufactures and distributes various lines of sugary drinks marketed as enhanced water. Founded in May 1996 by J. Darius Bikoff with an electrolyte enhanced line of water called Smartwater, Energy Brands initially distributed its products to health food stores and independent retailers in the New York area. Adding Fruitwater and VitaminWater to its line in 1998 and 2000, respectively, the company expanded to nationwide distribution in the early 2000s.

In May 2013, Oasis was imported to stores and supermarkets around the Ivory Coast, and by the end of 2013, Oasis was imported to stores and supermarkets around Madagascar.

EstCola is a cola soft drink from Thailand, manufactured by Sermsuk Public Company Limited. It was launched on 2 November 2012. It was created following the termination of the company's contract with PepsiCo, for whom it had bottled and distributed Pepsi in Thailand since 1952.
Cola Couronne, is the oldest manufactured soft drink from Haiti by Brasserie de la Couronne S.A. It is arguably the country's most well-liked soda, as it is a staple beverage for Haitians and those abroad. In Haiti, Cola Couronne is sold in tall glass bottles or plastic bottles, as the amount of aluminum required to can the beverage does not exist in Haiti. However, canned Cola Couronne is produced in its U.S. plant in Miami, called Universal Beverages, LLC. As a result, cans are readily available in South Florida and other parts of the U.S. with a sizable population of Haitians. In the Dominican Republic Cola Couronne is produced by the Coca-Cola company in Santo Domingo.
Champagne cola, Kola Champagne, or champagne soda is a sweetened carbonated beverage produced mainly in the tropics of Latin America, former British West Indies, and Pakistan. Kola Champagne was invented in Puerto Rico by Ángel Rivero Méndez. Rivero Méndez was a Captain in the Spanish Army during the Spanish–American War. In 1902, a few years after the end of the Spanish-American War, Rivero Méndez founded El Polo Norte Fábrica de Sodas where he created the Kola Champagne, which became, and still is, a popular soft drink in Puerto Rico. While elaborating the drink he worked on his book, Chronicle of the Spanish-American War in Puerto Rico.
