Career
Kenna made his professional boxing debut in 1991 against Alvin 'Slick' Miller, where he was knocked down in the first round but rallied and stopped Miller on a third-round TKO. A nine-fight undefeated streak followed with eight wins and a draw. The fights in this streak were all against journeymen fighters until he fought Michael Sprott for the Southern Area Heavyweight Title. Colin was defeated for the first time in this fight with a first Round KO. Three successive wins followed before Kenna faced Audley Harrison's victim, Mark Krence, who at the time was highly rated and tipped as a future star. An injury to his elbow forced a corner retirement.
Two weeks later in his hometown of Dublin, Kenna had a draw with the journeyman Paul King. After a period of inactivity, in June 2005 he won a points victory over former British and Commonwealth champion Julius Francis. In his comeback fight, he fought Wayne Llewellyn for the Southern Area heavyweight title. Llewellyn had a 30–5 record including a victory over Michael Sprott and a defeat to world title challenger Jameel McCline. Kenna won the fight and became the new Southern Area heavyweight champion. Later, he fought in Germany against hotly tipped prospect Oleg Platov. The lack of training and preparation on Kenna's part showed and the referee stopped the fight in the fifth round.
After the fight in Germany, Kenna spent under a year out of the ring, contemplating retirement or becoming a journeyman fighter. He returned in February 2007 with a points victory against Keith Long, but has not won a fight since. Kenna has lost seven consecutive fights, the first of which came when he was out-pointed by undefeated Moldovan-born Israeli Roman Greenberg (27-0) over eight rounds in London on 31 October 2007. He was in trouble by the sixth round, and on the floor in seventh from a straight right hand. The only time Greenberg saw any trouble came when his stool collapsed under his sixteen and a half stone frame at the end of fifth round.
Kenna's defeats include losses to Sam Sexton and Albert Sosnowski, who went on to become the Commonwealth and European champions respectively. He also lost to undefeated Indian Gurcharan Singh. On 11 April 2008, Kenna appeared in the "Prizefighter" competition on Sky Sports, but was knocked out by Paul Butlin in 2nd round of the quarter final. In February 2010, Kenna fought for the Irish title against Coleman Barrett. Kenna managed to knock down Barrett in the second round but Barrett still won on points.
Kenna fought for the Southern Area title once more against Larry Olubamiwo in May 2010, but was knocked out in the first round.
Daniel Peter Williams is a British professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC and The Ring magazine heavyweight titles in 2004. At regional level, he has held multiple heavyweight championships, including the Commonwealth title twice between 1999 and 2006; the British title twice between 2000 and 2010; and challenged once for the European title in 2003. As an amateur, he won bronze medals at the 1993 European Championships and 1994 Commonwealth Games. Williams is best known for scoring an upset knockout victory against Mike Tyson in 2004.
Michael Sprott is a British former professional boxer. He held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles in 2004 and the EBU European Union heavyweight title twice between 2005 and 2007. He was the winner of the 14th Prizefighter series.
Audley Hugh Harrison, is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2013. As an amateur he represented Great Britain at the 2000 Olympics, winning a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division and becoming the first ever British boxer to win Olympic gold in that division. Harrison turned professional the following year after signing a contract with BBC Sport, and went on to have seventeen fights on the network before their cancellation of all boxing broadcasts.
Greg Page was an American professional boxer who competed from 1979 to 2001, and held the WBA heavyweight title from 1984 to 1985. He was also a regular sparring partner for Mike Tyson, famously knocking down the then-undefeated world champion during a 1990 session.
Julius Francis is a British former professional boxer who participated in many noteworthy boxing matches in the mid 90s and 2000s. In 2007, he also participated in a mixed martial arts bout, having been a former European heavyweight kickboxing champion.
Matt Skelton is a British former professional boxer, kickboxer, and mixed martial artist. In boxing he competed from 2002 to 2014. He challenged once for the WBA heavyweight title in 2008. At regional level, he held the British heavyweight title from 2004 to 2005; the Commonwealth heavyweight title twice between 2004 and 2009; and the EBU heavyweight title in 2008. In kickboxing he competed from 1998 to 2002, and held the IKF Pro Muay Thai super-heavyweight title from 2000 to 2001.
Francois "Frans" Botha is a South African former professional boxer and kickboxer. He competed in boxing from 1990 to 2014, and is perhaps best known for winning the IBF heavyweight title against Axel Schulz in 1995, but was later stripped after failing a drug test. He later challenged twice for world heavyweight titles in 2000 and 2002. Botha has competed against former Heavyweight Champions Mike Tyson, Wladimir Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Michael Moorer and Evander Holyfield late in their respective careers. Botha participated once in mixed martial arts in 2004.
Jeffrey Scott Lacy is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2015. He held the IBF super middleweight title from 2004 to 2006, and the IBO super middleweight title from 2005 to 2006. Lacy rose to prominence in the early to mid-2000s as a feared puncher in the division, with his physique and knockout record making him one of boxing's top-rated prospects at the time.
Walter Tyeson "Tye" Fields is an American former professional boxer who held the USBA heavyweight title.
Odlanier Solís Fonte is a Cuban professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC heavyweight title in 2011, and is a former top-rated contender in that division. As an amateur heavyweight, Solis was one of the most celebrated and decorated amateur stars of the 2000s, winning a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics, and three consecutive golds at the World Championships in 2001, 2003, and 2005. Odlanier Solís beat Luis Ortiz multiple times in the amateurs, never losing to him.

Armand Carlos Netsing Takam is a Cameroonian-born French professional boxer. He has challenged once for the unified WBA (Super), IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles against in 2017. As an amateur, he represented Cameroon at the 2004 Olympics.
Roman Greenberg is an Israeli former heavyweight boxer based in the United Kingdom, with Moldovan origins, former International Boxing Organization's (IBO's) Intercontinental heavyweight champion, with a 27–1 record. Greenberg has been nicknamed the "Lion from Zion."
James Louis Bivins, was an American light heavyweight boxer whose professional career ran from 1940 to 1955. He was born in Dry Branch, Georgia. Although he was never given the opportunity to fight for a world title, despite at one point being the number one contender in both the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions, Bivins fought and defeated many of the great fighters of his era and won the "Duration" Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight titles. In recognition of his achievements in the ring - among other things, he defeated eight of the eleven world champions he faced - Bivins was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1999. He was also the one-time husband of Dollree Mapp, the subject of prominent Supreme Court case regarding the rights of search and seizures.
Darren Corbett, nicknamed Raging Bull, is a Northern Irish professional boxer. Corbett's weight fluctuated significantly throughout his career and although he had some fights at both heavyweight and light-heavyweight, the bulk of his contests and his success came at cruiserweight.
Francesco Pianeta is an Italian former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2018. He challenged for the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and The Ring heavyweight championship in 2013 and the WBA (Regular) title in 2015. At regional level held the European Union heavyweight title from 2008 to 2009.
The Prizefighter series was a professional boxing tournament created by boxing promoter Barry Hearn and aired on Sky Sports. The format has an initial eight fighters, who compete in four quarter-finals of 3 x 3 minute rounds followed by two semi-finals and one final all on the same night. The total prize money of the tournament is £80,000 with the winner of the tournament taking home £32,000, a figure that has increased from the initial top prize of £25,000 when the tournament first aired in April 2008. There have been 34 Prizefighter tournaments so far featuring 14 different weight divisions. The last tournament was held in 2015.
