Colin Williams is a Northern Ireland film and television producer.

Williams founded Sixteen South in 2007 and since then has produced eleven shows including Pajanimals in partnership with The Jim Henson Company, [1] [2] Big & Small, Big City Park and Sesame Tree in partnership with Sesame Workshop. [3] [4] He is currently producing Lily's Driftwood Bay , [1] which will soon air in over 100 countries and premiered in May 2014. He was one of the finalists in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Programme in 2013, as well as being named as one of Northern Ireland’s leaders in business. [5]

Big Bird is a Muppet character created by Jim Henson for the long-running children's television show Sesame Street. An eight-foot two-inch (249 cm) tall bright yellow anthropomorphic bird, he can roller skate, ice skate, dance, swim, sing, write poetry, draw, and ride a unicycle. Despite this wide array of talents, he is prone to frequent misunderstandings, on one occasion even singing the alphabet as one long word, pondering what it could mean. He would refer to grocer Mr. Hooper as "Mr. Looper", among other mispronunciations. He lives in a large nest behind the 123 Sesame Street brownstone and right next to Oscar the Grouch's trash can and he has a teddy bear named Radar. In Season 46, Big Bird's large nest is now sitting within a small, furnished maple tree, and is no longer hidden by used construction doors.

Aloysius Snuffleupagus, more commonly known as Mr. Snuffleupagus, Snuffleupagus or Snuffy for short, is one of the characters on Sesame Street, an educational television program for young children on PBS and HBO. He is a giant anteater-like mammoth, without tusks or (visible) ears, and has a long thick pointed tail, similar in shape to that of a dinosaur or other reptile. He has long thick brown, feathery hair and a trunk, or "snuffle", that drags along the ground. He is Big Bird's best friend and has a younger sister named Alice. He also attends "Snufflegarden".

The series was produced by Belfast based production company, Sixteen South and Sesame Workshop. The first episode aired on BBC Two in Northern Ireland on 5 April 2008, with the first series subsequently airing nationwide on CBeebies in August 2008.

John Kennedy is an American puppeteer who has worked with The Jim Henson Company since 1990. He hails from Plainfield, Indiana. From 1991 until 2003, Kennedy took over Jim Henson's role of Dr. Teeth, after which Bill Barretta took over in 2005. Kennedy has also performed Kermit the Frog on Disney Cruise Line, replacing Steve Whitmire.

Alice Dinnean is an American puppeteer, voice actress and creative writer who works at The Jim Henson Company. Dinnean has performed on many children's television shows such as The Puzzle Place, Sesame Street, Bear in the Big Blue House, Cousin Skeeter, Jim Henson's Pajanimals, Sid the Science Kid and Jack's Big Music Show. She also did work on various non-Muppet productions such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street is a non-fiction book chronicling the history of the children's television program, Sesame Street. Street Gang is journalist and writer Michael Davis's first book, published by Viking Press in 2008. On bookshelves in time for the show's 40th anniversary in 2009, the book developed out of a TV Guide article Davis wrote to commemorate the show's 35th anniversary in 2004. Lily's Driftwood Bay is a Northern Irish 2D animated mixed-media television series for children. Produced in Northern Ireland, the series premiered on Nick Jr. in the UK and Ireland on 5 May 2014 and it ended on 5 November 2017. It is created and produced by Sixteen South in association with Ingenious Media and with the participation of Nick Jr. and KiKA for season 2. It is based on an original idea and characters by Joanne Carmichael. The show uses paper cut-out animation.
