Collin Leijenaar is the drummer for progressive rock/metal bands Affector, Dusk, Dilemma, Kayak and the former live drummer for Neal Morse.
Affector is a progressive rock/metal band founded by German guitar player Daniel Fries and Collin Leijenaar. They are signed with Inside Out Music / Century Media and their debut album Harmagedon has been released on May 21 in Europe and on May 22 in the rest of the world.

Dilemma is a progressive rock band from The Netherlands. Their debut CD Imbroccata was released through SI Music/Roadrunner. After the departure of drummer Frank Van Essen, who went to play with Iona (band), Collin Leijenaar was asked to play drums.
Between 2005 and 2012 Collin worked as drummer, band leader and tour manager in the live band of progressive rock artist Neal Morse (USA), known from his bands Spock's Beard and Transatlantic. In the Neal Morse band, Collin ‘subs’ for Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) who plays on the studio albums.
From the Question Mark tour a live-2CD: ‘Neal Morse - ? Live’ was released worldwide through Radiant Records, Metal Blade and Inside Out Records. A limited edition live DVD: Neal Morse – ‘Question Mark and Beyond’ was released early 2007. In May 2007 they did a European tour to support Neal’s album Sola Scriptura. On guitar they had the amazing Paul Bielatowicz from the Carl Palmer band. From this tour a 2-DVD set Sola Scriptura & Beyond has been released on June 24, 2008 through Radiant Records, Sony Music, Metal Blade en Inside Out Records. Neal Morse’s CD, Lifeline, is released on October 20, 2008. Collin Leijenaar is featured on this CD together with musicians like Paul Bielatowicz, Paul Gilbert, Mike Portnoy, Randy George and others. From that tour (also in 2008) a triple live CD has been released titled "So Many Roads". After Neal's "Testimony 2" album they did a big European tour.

With his percussion group Rhythm Of The Soul, Collin played on a big festival at the Gelredome stadium in Arnhem, The Netherlands before an audience of over 35.000 people. This was broadcast live on national television, with a few re-runs. This percussion group released a single (Tribal Worship), which is available worldwide through online music stores like iTunes, Rhapsody, and Napster.
With the popgroup Kaja, formed around the vocal duo Karlijn Surminski and Janine Schell. Kaja was signed with Sony Music, and had two singles that was noted in the Top 100 in The Netherlands. Collin played for three years with the band. They did a lot of gigs on festivals in The Netherlands, and did a lot of radio and TV shows and performances.
The B-Band was a rock band formed by a group of music students. This was the first band experience of Leijenaar, and with this group he released 5 CD's and toured throughout Europe. They have played many times in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
In 1999 Leijenaar started his drum school: Novae Drum School Ede. Quite a few of his students are now in prize winning bands, or have studied at music conservatories. In January 2006 this grew into Novae Pop School Ede, a music school, mainly focused at pop music in all its forms and styles. In 2007/2008 Collin was the producer for Green November's debut album "Broken Strings and Poetry". With his progressive rock roots Collin was possibly the best to produce this nu prog album. Transatlantic is a multinational progressive rock supergroup consisting of Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Pete Trewavas and Mike Portnoy. They formed in 1999 as a side project to their full-time bands, but disbanded in 2002. They then reunited in 2009.

Neal Morse is an American singer, musician and composer based in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1992, he formed the progressive rock band Spock's Beard with his brother Alan and released an album which was moderately successful. In 1999, he joined former Dream Theater drummer and co-founder Mike Portnoy, together with Flower Kings' Roine Stolt and Marillion's Pete Trewavas they formed the super-group Transatlantic. In 2002, Neal Morse became a born again Christian, left Spock's Beard and began a Christian rock solo career, releasing many progressive rock concept albums about his new religious faith. In the meantime, he continued to play with Transatlantic and formed three new bands with Portnoy, Yellow Matter Custard, Flying Colors and The Neal Morse Band.
Michael Stephen Portnoy is an American musician and songwriter who is primarily known as the former drummer, backing vocalist, and a co-founder of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. In September 2010, Portnoy announced his departure from Dream Theater after 25 years, with Mike Mangini taking his place as drummer of the band. Since his departure, Portnoy has formed a variety of new bands and projects, including Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, Yellow Matter Custard, Flying Colors, The Winery Dogs, Liquid Tension Experiment, Metal Allegiance, Sons of Apollo, the Neal Morse Band and BPMD.

It was released on 23 May 2011, as a continuation of his first Christian prog album (Testimony) and contains three sections detailing the composer's life and conversion to Christianity. Neal returns with his normal solo-album bandmates Mike Portnoy and Randy George, but he also features many guests, including a vocal reunion of Spock's Beard in the song "Time Changer", which focuses on Neal's past with his original band.

The Grand Experiment is the first album by the progressive rock supergroup The Neal Morse Band. The album was composed and recorded over a short period of time, with no preparation work before entering the studio. This is the first time Morse has recorded this way, with no pre-prepared material, hence the album's title. It was released on February 10, 2015, in three formats: single CD edition, a special edition which includes the album plus a bonus CD and DVD, and a double CD and vinyl edition.
