Color Film is a post-punk/new wave band from New York formed in 2012 by Glassjaw/Head Automatica frontman Daryl Palumbo and former Men Women & Children bassist/current Head Automatica multi-instrumentalist Richard Penzone.

History

Palumbo announced on his Twitter account that he and friend/ex-Men, Women and Children member Rick Penzone were entering the mixing stages of their first LP with a new project, called Color Film. The duo were featured on the track "It's A Sin" off of Nick Hook's Without You EP. On October 18, 2012, Color Film played their first show at Irving Plaza, New York. Along with the announcement of the show, the band's site went online, revealing their debut full-length details and a download of the track "52 Minds" in exchange for a scratch off ticket code. The album, titled Living Arrangements, was produced by the duo and mixed by Gareth Jones and is expected for a 2013 release. "Bad Saint", another track from the record, is available for streaming and download on Color Film SoundCloud page.

September 2013 saw the release of "It's A Sin" video by Nick Hook featuring Color Film.

Color Film released their debut EP "Until You Turn Blue" on October 22, 2013 on Calm + Collect. The band also released a live video for their track "Small Town".

On June 16, 2017, Color Film released their debut album Living Arrangements on Epitaph Records.

Daryl Palumbo

Daryl Palumbo is an American musician, originally from Bellmore, New York. He is the frontman of the bands Glassjaw, Head Automatica and Color Film. As a youth he was a member of the Long Island straight edge band XbustedX. In 1993 he met guitarist Justin Beck, who would become his good friend. Together they formed Glassjaw.

Men, Women & Children was an electropop band formed in 2004 by ex-Glassjaw guitarist Todd Weinstock and TJ Penzone. They released their self-titled debut album in 2006. Penzone initially wanted the band to be named Easy Tiger, but had to rename the band after a band in Chicago by the same name refused to sell him the rights.

Her debut solo album, Sing, Memory, was released on 19 February 2007, followed by Brave Tin Soldiers, released on 9 May 2011. Her latest album, Night Walks, was released on 5 October 2018. Nixey currently lives in London with her husband, music producer Jimmy Hogarth, whom she married in late 2010 and has one son, Reuben and a daughter, Lola. Nixey has a daughter, Ava from her previous marriage with John Moore.

Breathe Carolina

Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado, currently composed of David Schmitt and Tommy Cooperman. The band formed in 2007 and have released five albums, and nine EPs. Their latest studio album, Dead: The Album, was released in November 2019.

<i>Our Color Green (The Singles)</i> 2011 EP (compilation) by Glassjaw

Our Color Green is an extended play by the American post-hardcore band Glassjaw that was self-released on January 1, 2011. The EP compiles five singles that were previously released throughout the later part of 2010. Our Color Green is the first release from Glassjaw since the 2005 B-sides EP El Mark, and first release of original material since the 2002 studio album Worship and Tribute. It is also the first release by the band as a four-piece without Todd Weinstock.

Karmin American pop duo

Karmin was an American pop duo consisting of Amy Renee Noonan and Nick Noonan. Starting as a novelty act that released covers on YouTube, they signed in 2011 with Epic Records. In May 2012, Karmin released their debut EP Hello, which spawned the singles Brokenhearted and Hello and received mixed reviews. Rolling Stone named Karmin's lead singer Amy as the winner of "Women Who Rock" 2012 contests. In March 2014, the duo released their debut album, Pulses. The album's lead single, Acapella, charted in the top 10 in Australia and New Zealand, and went Gold in the United States. They left Epic Records in the middle of 2014 and have since released music independently. Their second album Leo Rising was released on September 9, 2016.

"I Told You So" is a song by American recording duo Karmin, taken from their debut EP Hello. It was written by band members Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, as well as Elite and producer John "Jon Jon Traxx" Webb, Jr. The song features a primary hip hop influence, as well as elements of rock, electronica and ska. The song debuted live on Saturday Night Live on February 11, 2012. Heidemann and Noonan first performed a live acoustic snippet of the song on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show prior to their SNL appearance. "I Told You So" is said to pay homage to Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now", a song they covered on YouTube that brought them to fame.
