"Turn the Beat Around" is a disco song written by Gerald Jackson and Peter Jackson and performed by Vicki Sue Robinson in 1976, originally appearing on her debut album, Never Gonna Let You Go. Released as a single, the song went to #10 on the Billboard pop charts, and #73 on the soul chart. The song earned Robinson a Grammy nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The track went to number one on the disco chart for four weeks. "Turn the Beat Around" is considered a disco classic and is featured on many compilation albums.

Thalía is the seventh studio album and second eponymous album by Mexican singer of the same name. It was released on 21 May 2002 by EMI Latin. The follow-up to her successful sixth studio album, Arrasando (1999), the album sees Thalia collaborating with previous producers Emilio Estéfan, Jr. and Cory Rooney, while working for the first time with Estéfano, Julio C. Reyes and Steve Morales. Thalía incorporates strong elements of pop rock, while also having Latin pop influences. Lyrically, the album touches on themes of self-empowerment and individuality. It also features two covers and a new version of an old Latin classic.

Chase & Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). The duo are from London, and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released four studio albums as well as collaborating with major artists such as Plan B, CeeLo Green, Rihanna, Example, Dave Ball, and Tinie Tempah. They run the independent record label MTA Records.
"Suavemente" is a song recorded and composed by Puerto Rican-American Elvis Crespo on his first solo album, Suavemente, which followed his departure from Grupo Manía. Released as the lead single, "Suavemente" reached number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks on May 16, 1998, and remained atop the chart for six weeks. Crespo re-recorded it with Spanglish lyrics. The song also hit the Billboard Hot 100 as well as received a Premios Lo Nuestro award and two Latin Billboard Music Awards the following year. "Suavemente" was the tenth best-performing Latin single of 1998. The song has been covered by several artists, some of whom also charted.
"The Question" is the second single by Concept of One from the album of the same name, released in 1990 with the participation of freestyle singer Noel Pagan. Although the song only achieved moderate success on the charts entering only the dance singles chart, the song became one of Noel's most popular, where he still includes it in his live shows.
Concept of One is the debut album of the dance-pop and freestyle music group Concept of One, created by music producer Tony Moran. The album was released on 16 July 1993 by the Cutting Records label. It included the first hit single released by Tony Moran, "Dance with Me", and the song "The Question", which featured the participation of singer Noel Pagan.
"Satisfaction" is a song by American pop singer Laura Branigan, which was released as the fourth and final single from her 1984 album Self Control. The song's original music was written by Bernd Dietrich, Gerd Grabowski and Engelbert Simons, whilst the English lyrics were written by Mark Spiro and superstar songwriter Diane Warren. T.P.E. Featuring Adam Marano is the debut album of the dance-pop and freestyle project T.P.E. created by music producer Adam Marano. The album was released in 1992 by Micmac Records. Of the four singles released from the album, the only one to succeed was "Then Came You", which reached No. 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991. Other singles of this album were "Forever and a Day", released in 1992, "Sex U Down", released in 1993 and "Dance with Me", released in 1994. The album also contains the participation of freestyle singers that were already popular locally in Philadelphia such as Denine and Jade Starling, a member of the group Pretty Poison.
Denise Lopez is an American Dance/freestyle singer, born in Queens, New York, mainly active in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Over the Rainbow is the debut studio album from Italian-born American Dance singer Nocera, which was released through Sleeping Bag Records in 1987. The set, co-produced and co-written by Nocera and Floyd Fisher, featured additional contributions from songwriter/producer Peitor Angell, musician/programmer/composer Fred Zarr, producer/editor/mixer Chep Nuñez and Freestyle production duo The Latin Rascals. Two singles from this album became top ten hits on Billboard's Dance/Disco Club Play Charts: the #2 hit "Summertime Summertime" in 1986, and "Let's Go," which peaked at #8 in 1987. Another single, "Tell U So", was released in 1987. This was the only album released by Nocera as a follow up was shelved due to the closing of Sleeping Bag Records in 1992.
