Concert at the Kings is an annual concert which takes place in the field to the rear of the Kings Arms pub in All Cannings near Devizes in Wiltshire, England. [1]
Usually held in May, it is a charitable fundraiser for cancer charities and to date it has raised over £250,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, Above And Beyond, and Hope For Tomorrow among many others. [2]
The first concert took place in 2012, and since its inception acts such as 10cc, The Boomtown Rats, Squeeze, SAS Band, Steve Harley, Sweet and Los Pacaminos have performed at the Kings Arms. 2016 saw Marmalade, Big Country, 10cc, Suzy Quatro and the SAS Band take to the stage. [3]
Concert founders John Callis and Andy Scott are cancer survivors, and Concert at the Kings is their way of helping cancer victims across South West England to get the support they deserve. The 2018 concert raised money for Salisbury District Hospital's STARS appeal, in particular the Pembroke Unit which is the specialist treatment centre for people with cancer and blood diseases from across south Wiltshire, north and east Dorset and west Hampshire.

The first 'Acoustic At The Kings' event took place at The Kings Arms on Monday 28 August 2017, with Verdisa playing an acoustic set in the Breeze Shed.
Status Quo are a British rock band. The group originated in London and was founded in 1962 by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster while they were still schoolboys. After a number of name and lineup changes, which included the introduction of John Coghlan in 1963 and Rick Parfitt in 1967, the band became The Status Quo in 1967 and Status Quo in 1969. As of 2022, the group have been active for 60 consecutive years.
The Boomtown Rats are an Irish new wave band originally formed in Dublin in 1975. Between 1977 and 1985, they had a series of Irish and UK hits including "Like Clockwork", "Rat Trap", "I Don't Like Mondays" and "Banana Republic". The original line-up comprised six musicians; five from Dún Laoghaire in County Dublin; Gerry Cott, Simon Crowe (drums), Johnnie Fingers (keyboards), Bob Geldof (vocals) and Garry Roberts, plus Fingers' cousin Pete Briquette (bass). The Boomtown Rats broke up in 1986, but reformed in 2013, without Fingers or Cott. Garry Roberts died in 2022. The band's fame and notability have been overshadowed by the charity work of frontman Bob Geldof, a former journalist with the New Musical Express.

The Kursaal is a former amusement park and a Grade II listed building in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The building, originally known as the Kursaal Palace was opened in 1901 as part of one of the world's first purpose-built amusement parks. The venue is noted for the main building with distinctive dome, designed by George Campbell Sherrin, which featured on a Royal Mail special stamp in 2011. The amusement park was home to Southend United F.C. between 1919 to 1934. The majority of the park was closed in 1973, with the rest of the site closing in 1986. The building remained derelict until it was redeveloped in the late 1990s, opening again in 1998. Since 2020, the building again remains empty except for a small Tesco convenience store.
