The Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT) is an umbrella organization that represents and advocates for teachers across Nepal. Established with the primary objective of improving the status and conditions of educators, CNT plays a pivotal role in the education sector of the country. [1]
CNT was founded in February 2015 as a unifying body for teachers in Nepal, encompassing educators from various educational institutions, levels, and regions. [2] The organization was established with the goal of addressing the challenges faced by teachers and promoting quality education in Nepal. Its core objectives include advocating for the rights and welfare of teachers, reviewing education bills and policies, and raising awareness and demands related to Nepalese education with government authorities.[ citation needed ]

Education reform is the name given to the goal of changing public education. The meaning and education methods have changed through debates over what content or experiences result in an educated individual or an educated society. Historically, the motivations for reform have not reflected the current needs of society. A consistent theme of reform includes the idea that large systematic changes to educational standards will produce social returns in citizens' health, wealth, and well-being.
Student rights are those rights, such as civil, constitutional, contractual and consumer rights, which regulate student rights and freedoms and allow students to make use of their educational investment. These include such things as the right to free speech and association, to due process, equality, autonomy, safety and privacy, and accountability in contracts and advertising, which regulate the treatment of students by teachers and administrators. There is very little scholarship about student rights throughout the world. In general most countries have some kind of student rights enshrined in their laws and proceduralized by their court precedents. Some countries, like Romania, in the European Union, have comprehensive student bills of rights, which outline both rights and how they are to be proceduralized. Most countries, however, like the United States and Canada, do not have a cohesive bill of rights and students must use the courts to determine how rights precedents in one area apply in their own jurisdictions.
Education in Iran is centralized and divided into K-12 education plus higher education. Child Workers in Nepal (CWIN) is a non-governmental organization working as an advocate for children's rights. It was established in 1987 by a group of students at Tribhuvan University who, upon investigating the conditions of children living on the streets in Kathmandu, Nepal, recognized the need for advocacy in this area. As a "watchdog" in the field of child rights in Nepal, CWIN acts as a voice for the disadvantaged and exploited children. It does this by lobbying, campaigning, and pressuring the government to protect and promote children's rights, and to end exploitation, abuse and discrimination against children.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights in Nepal have expanded in the 21st century, though much of Nepal's advancements on LGBT rights have come from the judiciary and not the legislature. Same-sex sexual acts have been legal in Nepal since 2007 after a ruling by the Supreme Court of Nepal.

The Education Amendment Act, 2023, commonly known as the Parents' Bill of Rights, is a 2023 piece of legislation amending the Saskatchewan Education Act. Also known as Bill 137, the legislation was introduced on October 10 during an emergency session of the 29th Saskatchewan Legislature, and it was passed on October 20 after a week of intensive debate in the Legislative Assembly. The provincial government, led by Premier Scott Moe, invoked the notwithstanding clause—Section 33 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms—to pass the legislation and protect it from legal challenges based on Charter Rights.
